    Yay! I know this is the content you wanted to move away from, but it's my favourite 😊

      I knooow 😊 so I’m going to still do it sometimes! Just not committing to guaranteed every single month or week. Hopefully that way both sides win. 🥰

    Hi Mary, that is what I want to add into my budget (house cleaner to deep clean once per month as that will help me out and is such a treat for a home). Glad you all are feeling better now. We love the teacher gifts and we appreciate you all that provide them.

      It’s been so nice to have! It’s soo nice to come home and the house is clean and I didn’t have to do it all. It’s been really worth it for my mental health and especially during the busy month of December. I hope you can add it and try it out!

    I'm beefing up the Emergency Fund even more in 2025, increasing my 401k to 6% because the employer match went up, and trying to throw more at my Roth IRA. With the incoming administration you cannot HAVE enough CASH! 😢

      You’re probably right about cash on hand! I’ve been increasing my business emergency fund and might consider doing it for our personal side too.

      It has nothing to do with the administration. You should always have emergency cash on hand.

    Definitely need a restart but luckily the holidays didn't hit as hard. We are thinking of doing a low buy year so we can increase the savings and travel accounts.

      Love that! I’ve watched a lot of people do a low buy year and it’s so intriguing. I’m not doing one officially but plan to buy less overall because I just want less stuff in my home.

    Hey Mary . I need to write down sinking goals like u did. Im newer at the sinking funds. But 2025 i ened up w 8k n my ally account so pretty good starting w nothing❤

    • @PenniesNotPerfection
      @PenniesNotPerfection  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It helps so much to write them all down and calculate how much you need per month and per paycheck! I don’t even think about them after the initial setup and then the money is there when I need it.

    I hear ya on the spending to make things easier! I was just working on my budget. Ouch! By the way, a simple teacher gift for Christmas is a $5 dunkin or starbucks gift card with a thoughtful note.

    This is awesome! Can you do a deeper dive on your house cleaning?? I'm very interested in investing in someone helping me survive in this way. How did you decide? How did you interview? What does the $120/month get? This would be such a great help!

    • @PenniesNotPerfection
      @PenniesNotPerfection  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sure! It’s new to us and we’ve only had three cleanings. We found her through a friend who was already using her and we waited until there was an opening. Because she already worked for friends we knew what to expect personality wise.
      For what we pay she dusts, cleans floors, bathrooms, kitchen, washes and changes sheets to make bed and then also whatever we need at the time. So some of it is laundry because we are always behind and then this month she focused on getting the space host ready because we were supposed to host family even tho that didn’t happen. She seems super flexible and willing to work on whatever we need which we are still figuring out ourselves.

    Wait to buy the new house. I am on my 4th house and I am like thinking how my house #1 would be paid off now.😢

    • @PenniesNotPerfection
      @PenniesNotPerfection  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      This house will be paid off waaaay faster than any house we buy… but it’s definitely not a forever home option. We may end up waiting a few more years but I’d also love to move tomorrow. But there hasn’t been anything for sale that really made sense yet.

    January I’m planning to put 3K into investing and I have it in the budget, hoping nothing happens to stop me from achieving this 😂. I plan but I’m always flexible for when life happens.

    • @PenniesNotPerfection

      Not sure about this particular spreadsheet, but there is an option in Google Sheets to save as an Excel document. I’ve done that with other Etsy spreadsheets I bought and it has usually worked. Sometimes, the formulas may not copy over correctly, so that’s something to consider.

    The United States saw an 18.1% increase in homelessness this year, a dramatic rise driven mostly by a lack of affordable housing as well as devastating natural disasters and a surge of migrants in several parts of the country, federal officials said Friday.
    The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development said federally required tallies taken across the country in January found that more than 770,000 people were counted as homeless - a number that misses some people and does not include those staying with friends or family because they do not have a place of their own.
