Great to see you guys pivot! But a huge part of your success on this new channel can be attributed to the cross-promotion you guys do. Your results would look a lot different if you did not have the Authority Hacker base/brand behind this channel. I would love to see a TH-cam case-study from you guys in a niche outside of Internet Marketing. Now that will be epic!

Yeah we're all about building on top of a solid foundation to help us grow faster, that's what so great about YT. I will say that YT and other social platforms have gotten a lot easier for low subscriber channels that create great content to get big hits from early videos.

Taking notes right now! This is gold. I’ve been playing around with posting videos on TH-cam and I’m now inspired to keep doing it. Definitely felt a bit of TH-cam fatigue last week though, but you guys just inspired me to continue, hah

You nailed it with the whole shiny object thing. I really want to become a content creator but I’m very aware it can quick become more of a job than an enjoyable pursuit.

Clearly it is work if you want to do it at a high enough level that will allow you to get good results.

Great video but a bit misleading because you already have huge brand which makes everything much easier.

It makes it easier but most of our viewers come from outside our audience as per TH-cam analytics. I think we saved 6 months from the brand but not a lot more.

It's all about delivering watch hours to TH-cam at this point. At least this is what I'm seeing in a recent channel I created. It's been 5 weeks and it has already made 75000 views and 2500 watch hours. Subscribers are pouring slowly though, only 243 so far.

Really enjoying this podcast ep as I try to expand my TH-cam channel. I'm also intrigued about your idea of doing multiple YT channels. Right now my YT channel posts mostly videos about dog training.
But recently, I've started doing some "dog facts" videos about different breeds -like "Rottweilers 101". These are very different than my normal videos and have a different search intent, so I turn off the notification to subscribers. Instead they get views when people search for terms like "Rottweiler facts" on TH-cam.
But, now I'm wondering if instead I should make an entirely new TH-cam channel for these videos? Not sure what the best play is. The reason why I am not sure a new channel makes sense is that I do not think there is really any audience that wants to get notified about every new breed facts video. People mostly just want to search for the specific breed they are interested in or own. So I'm not sure there is all that much value in creating a new channel for these videos. What do y'all think?

Not fair. You already had a huge audience before. Its like Kardashian opening a 2nd Instagram channel then bragging how fast it grows...

I don’t know if we should be flattered or offended to be compared to the Kardashians. For info, our following contributes around 500 views per video. The rest comes from the TH-cam discovery engine.
