Huge thank you to you for this review. I was searching for a leather jacket for my adult son who is 5'3" and 109 lb. I ordered a 1 and it fits like it was made for him. He loves it. Much nicer than the Coach jacket I ordered and returned. I am so happy I found your review.
The fit looks fire man! Leather jackets will always be in style! Even if you dont ride a motorcycle, its a good look when worn properly as in your video! Keep rockn it man! 💯
It’s not as badass looking leather jacket compared to black biker jackets, but it still looks very stylish and gives more mature vibe than biker jackets. Seen this jacket alot from your older vids, so I’m glad to see you finally reviewing it!
This has always been kinda my dream leather jacket design since seeing it on your channel and The Modest Man. REALLY like the standing collar, the clean design and that rich colour. Sadly between the price, shipping to the UK, and sizing awkwardness requring some try-ons - I don't think I'd ever be able to get one! Hope I can find something similar one day!
Does it feel tight on the shoulders and armpit when you try to hug yourself? I’m 5’8” 150 pounds and went with a size 3 because so many people said to size down when getting a leather jacket. Im hoping I didn’t make a mistake 😭
People think that lambskin is super expensive but it's actually one of the cheapest leathers. Sheep raised for slaughter are usually dispatched fairly young. Most of the skins are tanned but a good third are just discarded. Lambskin is one of the cheapest leathers not just because of its availability but because it's also usually quicker to tan meaning that you get faster turnaround in terms of total surface area of leather produced. Some things to watch out for: 1. Lambskin is prone to wrinkling and creasing but it CAN be ironed. Used a pressing ham and a fairly thick press cloth as well as keeping your iron on a low temperature. No steam. Koreans perfected this. Another thing they do is fuse the front with knitted fusible interfacing. It also gives the front more body. This only matters if you don't have a front yoke seam adding horizontal stability to the front. 2. Try to get a jacket with cleverly sewn panels. Lambskins are small so jackets made of them will generally have more seams than cowhide jackets for the same price. Consider calfskin or just find a jacket with a combination you like. Eg. Separate waistband and shoulder caps minimize the size of the front panels. Side panels between the front and back do this too. The boda skins kay michaels is a perfect example of good paneling.
I truly believe this statement being both cheap and readily available for slaughter sheepskin really is a good leather but in my experience it’s very fragile depending on what company you’re shopping with and from my point of view cowhide is way better in comparison though to each their own
@markmartin1835 that's true, but velvet and fur can be quite fragile as well. The mistake people make is thinking lamb/sheepskin is a substitute for a heavier hide. They don't do the same thing and thats okay. Not everyone wants to wear a heavy leather jacket. It takes time to break in and that really limits what else you can wear since the lass time you spend wearing it, the longer it will take to break in. Also, whereas poorer countries can do lambskin well, their cow and buffalo hides are usually pretty bad. Not terrible, but they use upholstery grade leather for their jackets and it's incredibly stiff. Whereas a lambskin jacket by an Italian maker or a Pakistani one will be of comparable quality materials being good (not those $120 ebay jackdts)
Has water ever felt on it ?? I heard there not water resistant! I’m about to buy one lambskin leather jacket from Hugo boss but I got scared when I seen in goggle how the color fades oway with water and it tears up
I just got this jacket after watching your video but I got size 3 since I'm 5'5" and weight 150 😪. Unfortunately the sleeves were a little too long and torso area too loose. I wonder if I can fit a size 2 like yours without looking too tigh.. also where did you get the hoodie. I want to complete the look lol
Hey i like your videos! You should check out Straight to Hell! They have nice biker leather jackets, the Commando. They are a bit heavier compared to the Allsaints Milo biker jacket, but they have a "lightweight" version, thats lighter on some of their styles, including their Commando biker jacket. The sizes are numerical by check size in inches (or CM) and have "short" versions of the smaller sizes. Check em out!
Leather jackets can come off as too try-hard and outdated. It's like the guy feels bad about himself and wants to make up for what he lacks by wearing a jacket that he thinks is "badass". If you want to pull it off, it must be extremely understated. All Saints is good at that but The Jacket Maker is not good at that. I would like reviewers to discuss that element.

Just got this jacket today 🙏🏻😭 the price broke my heart, but man it’s so worth it. Fits like a glove and it’s so smooth
some things are worth the price! a nice quality, great fitting leather jacket is one of them.

agreed..it's certainly more mature and refined.

good luck in your search!
I own this one in black … very well fitting … fits my sleeve length perfectly which is rare. Jacket length is great also. Size 4x
yeah, certainly rare. glad you found a fit that suits you!

@ true didn’t think about it like that but I’m glad I learned something new today
Looks a real quality leather jacket, excellent fit as well 👌
Agreed. One of my faves.

Are you aware if PM ever runs sales or end of season clearance? Thanks for the video.
they do run sales occasionally

You can give it a shot. It might be too tight though, as you said. You've got 20 lbs on me. The hoodie is also from Peter Manning
@@gentwithin yes you were right it was too tight. Thanks for the response!
is this 100% lamb skin?
Great! Thank you.
thank you!
