Thanks for getting this review out fellas. I always use Rome DOD bindings with a couple notches of lean and Vans Verse boots in size 8.5 and 9 (two pairs). I’m 5’7” and probably 180. Riding a 156, sometimes wish it was a touch longer for speed runs. TC spot on with this board. It’s a turning machine. Carving. Speed checks/skids. I’ve got 5 days on it. Phenomenal on groomers. Good in powder with setback stance. When not in powder, I enjoy and almost centered stance, back binding one set of screws forward of reference. That’s 21.5ish and 18” of nose and 17” of tail. Carving set back of reference gives weird carving and turning results for me, it gets a little Bucky. Powder can be ridden like this but it’s work. Cannot say enough about this boards ability to stay locked on a carve. Stiff but light. Does not clap out on moguls and such. Launches on jumps, lands really smooth but you notice how light it is. Switch riding is an absolute dream . Base seems a little slower. I will say that I was able to confidently flat base this board. Couple spots at my local mountain you have to in order to not get stuck on a cat track. I hit 45 and I could definitely go faster. Icy corduroy was zipping through the board. It’s weird lol. I was super worried that this bird was going to be twitchy/hooky in a way that was gonna result in an edge catch. Hasn’t even come close to happening. I’ve been charging through all sorts of terrain, some shitty. Like TC said, keep your stance low and you can make it through anything. Boards I have to compare to (so far this season) is a K2 Instrument 154, Rome Ravine Select 158. Taking K2 Excavator 154 out today in some overnight fresh. Instrument gets tossed a little, carves are fair, super damp in shitty terrain. Racine Select floats like a dream. Little chatter up front but super stable. Can cruise 45+ like nothing is going on. Haven’t done much pro with the Berzerker, but I can report back here. I’m older and trying to get comfortable in the air again after a decade+ hiatus. So far it launches, lands so solid and I’ve been able to ride out enough to be like “Ok, safe to turn”.
Probably the best board I've ever ridden. Very fine edge tune out of the factory with different angles and also maybe bevels along different sections of the edge. Fucked it up, retuned (twice) and started riding a bit twitchy. Never found the magic quite afterwards. BUT holy shit this thing is amazing in pow, which isn't talked about too much. Kinda transforms from how it rides groomers: pivots, is playful, nose butters at any speed for days, lands, pops, is overall buoyant... Also done the most technical riding switch in pow I've ever done. Also charges and pushes through heavier pow. Very intuitive soft snow performance for a technical rider, where you don't have to be backfoot heavy all the time. I'm riding the 157W in a size 8 boot though, which is perfect.
"The Berzerker is designed by one of the world’s smoothest snowboarders, Jake Blauvelt. Jake wanted a board that matched his smooth and effortless style in all terrain and conditions. You'll be impressed at how smooth the transition between turns is because of the tip rocker and a small amount of taper in the tail that improves edge-to-edge speed and float in powder. The Tapered Quadratic Sidecut has been enhanced to improve stability and edge hold. Carbon Slimerods® 2.0 have carbon for pop and a urethane core to smooth out the landings. The Berzerker is built for an all-mountain rider looking for performance. Like a Viking longship, the Berzerker is designed to sail in the shallows or plow through the deep, cut through ice, and take you to snowboard Valhalla. Pay attention to the waist width, because the standard sizes run a bit narrow and are optimized for a smaller boot. The wide sizes are more mid-wide, providing a good option for the size 11, 12 or 13 boots out there. If you've got a bigger foot or prefer a wider ride, check out the Algorythm or Pig Series." This is literally what their website says. Pretty sure this review doesn't say any of those things. Maybe you went to the Johnathan Buckhouse Center For Kids Who Can't Read Good And Wanna Learn To Do Other Stuff Good Too, I don't know. But what I do know is this is a really dumb comment from someone that sits down to strap in and gets less than 10 days a year on the hill.
I love that graphic.
Me too, it's really the only reason I want it 😂
It’s why I waited a year
Just got this board, STOKED to try it out soon

You guys doing any DwD boards this season?
Sadly no.
@ damn that’s unfortunate
Reminds me of a Alien Workshop graphic
Big request for TC to get cornrows for the next review. Asking for a friend who is terminally ill
Been saying he should do this and get a grill for the last year.
Why would anyone get the Berzerker over the Moderator or the Deep Fake?
Why not?
Moderator yea. Deep Fake, tough call.
Tiny feet, want more camber, like Jake Blauvelt, and a slew of other reasons.
I am really enjoying this board, but I would say it is stiff, just a level less than the antidote I would say. Call me crazy.
TC has the worst reviews man, sounds like he’s desperately trying to read the Ride site’s description
I rather enjoy the aspect he brought.
Yeah, I am sure Ride's website says "pick an edge or you'll be on your ass". Dingus.
I love TC's reviews. He's awesome.
TC rips on the mountain and the reviews bro wtf are you talking about?
