Just bought this January 11 2024 from Apple shop uk the issue I had encountered was when I first placed my watch on first then my Apple phone with a quad lock case in that order and charged it over night my watch was fully charged but my phone was 84% charged in the morning not sure if this is a faulty one I have because when I place my phone on first then my watch they then both charge to 100%
I’d wonder whether this is a battery management thing on the iPhone itself. The phone slows charging around 80% and tops up just before it anticipates you need it based on daily charging / usage pattern. Not something I have noticed with the charger.
I love Anker stuff but this is just so over priced and lacks any real advance features. All Mag charging stands allow you to use Standby mode, what makes this ‘best’?
Hi thanks for the reply. From my viewpoint this is a quality stand first and foremost. Its beauty, simplicity and doing what it says on the tin make it my favorite. It looks great and is of high build quality. It allows fast charging at 15w wirelessly which not all stands will do plus charging for watch and buds. Not all stands allow landscape mode or allow landscape mode in such a compact stand. The fact that the top is tiltable also makes for a better nightstand. This is all personal preference but I have been very impressed with it. I’ll post a comparison of ankers other new 3 in 1 charger but the cube remains the best in my view.
I was contemplating getting this or the new travel MagGo. I went with the MagGo because of the price. When my iPhone is done charging during the night, I have to remove it from the charger or I’ll get the very annoying “Bong” charging sound which will continue until I remove it. I don’t know why and don’t feel comfortable with it doing that. I’m afraid of damaging my iPhone’s battery. I’ve heard many others complaining about the same issue. I’m curious if anyone has this issue with this model. I’m going to return the one that I purchased.
I don't understand why all 3 in 1 charges have a simple qi charger in the space dedicated to the airpods? Why they ignore that airpods can use magsafe like the iphone? I's great not having to worry about lining the airpods perfectly so they can charge.
This will depend on the version of the watch. It has to be a model that supports fast charging and also supports fast charging at 5w. This would exclude older versions and also the watch ultra.
@@TheAnkerMan I have an ultra 2 and a series 7. Does the Anker cube charge as fast as the fast charger that comes with the watches if I’m using a 20 watt charging brick?
Was great but after 2 days my phone completely dropped charging on it. Using a Quadlock MagSafe compatible case but per Anker since it’s not an Apple certified case it won’t work with their Made for MagSafe 3-1 cube. I don’t understand why it doesn’t since all made for MagSafe is is a certification by Apple and a chip that allows it to show the animation; it’s still at its core a qi charger with magnets. Idk.
@@TheAnkerMan yes it works without the case. I actually just received a response from Quadlock. Looks like it may be Apples fault breaking compatibility. Here is their response; “Whilst our MAG cases have traditionally worked with MagSafe Certified chargers, with the latest generation of iPhones, Apple has changed the distance that their charging coils will connect from, meaning whilst our cases have not changed, there may be compatibility issues with some versions of MagSafe chargers and iPhones in our MAG cases.”
Is this product very heavy, reason I ask is it you push on the iPhone to turn off an alarm, will the cube slide or will it stay put on the nightstand ?
Hi, yes I see your point but you will be pleasantly surprised. This is a weighty little beast. It weighs just less than a pound at 410g and has a rubber base to prevent slipping. Whilst it can be moved you’ll not do it by tapping the screen. I’d say the main reason this may happen is when detaching the phone due to the strength of the magnets. This is easily overcome by using a second hand to hold the cube.
@@joebishop7909 I started buying Anker products because they offered a premium product often for cheaper than the big name brands. Anker is now a big name and whilst many of its products (in my opinion) compete very favorably on price this cube is priced on the high side. I really get it, I wanted to buy 2 but couldn’t initially justify it. When the cube arrived I very quickly brought the second. It really does feel like a classy product and much better than any other bedside stand I have seen (in my opinion).
Ok I own the c1000 and this anker cub. I noticed when it’s plugged in to the c1000 it only. Shows 10-12 watts when the phone is attached and basically doesn’t got over 16 or so when AirPods and watch is attached. Have you had this issue?
Agree, while some watches fast charge at 5w the ultra for example needs more. Either way this will still happily charge your watch overnight without blinking so not a massive issue in my book.
Should the Standby display on the 15 Pro Max remain on throughout the night, albeit in red? My display goes out after a few seconds. Waving my hand turns it on, but only temporarily.
Sorry for delay. It should be on. Been doing some research. There are several limiting features in IOS but turning off night focus should help. Also battery saving mode will disable always on. Will only stay on on pro models of IP14/15
@@TheAnkerMan Battery low power mode is disabled. The default Sleep focus is active overnight; perhaps an app needs to be added to that focus’s list to enable always on?
I agree. Apple has created something very good yet created too many conflicts for it to work seamlessly. Try toggling the filters in sleep focus for display to see if that helps (I’ve not tested this) I also note that even if low battery mode disabled then sleep mode can be set to activate low battery mode when sleep focus on. Another potential workaround would be to configure do not disturb mode to allow any notifications you want to remain active and schedule this overnight. Hope this gives vyou some joy. Good luck
Yes we have the feature on the reg 15 but it only stays on only the pro phones why is the million dollar question why apple even add it to the reg models if it’s not gonna perform correctly.
@@TheAnkerManSo I overrode Sleep focus. Used my Personal focus. The display remained on all night! (I was also awakened by notifications a few times.) So it would appear I need to adjust Sleep focus some how to enable Standby always on.
Everyone keeps claiming "fast". Compared to what? A 3:32 time scale is required. How long does it take to charge all 3 devices at once from zero, or each one separately. That would be more meaningful than "fast".
Yes and no. iPhone has a mode that will learn your charging pattern and charge your phone most of the way to full then slow down / stop charging until nearer the time it expects to be used again, before finishing the charge. This preserves battery health and can be set up in battery within settings.
I wouldn’t go right away and say that this is the best travel charging solution. I mean magsafe is slow, it can claim to be the best bedside charger. But cant consider this for traveling when you need to be up and about any minute so you need to be fast.
Will def get one when they update to the qi2
Got this on sale during the last Amazon prime day. So far it has been great.
Enjoy

Dude u using Apple devices, overpriced is part of the experience
Hi, does the watch charging puck come out far enough to accommodate an Ultra with a protective case? Many thanks
Sooo goood it’s a addiction to watching you keep it up❤
Glad you enjoy it!

Nice. At night does the time stay on ? Or does it go off after a set amount of time?
With iPhone pro and always on display it stays on if you want. Older iPhones without always on will go blank after a short time but simply tap to wake
i wish this had a more minimalist look to blend in with decorative pieces
like this it just looks too tech savvy
I somewhat agree. Minimalist is a big draw here for me but it’s certainly up there with the more minimalist designs.
Yeah this gaudy baroque Versace style is truly an eye-sore.

I agree it is much easier with magnets. I guess it’s a cost thing. Do sometimes charge mine on the phone charger for that reason.
was this made of metal or plastic for the outer construction?
Metal

They have been recently running promotions via Amazon and on the anker site.

if you are looking for an economical stand go for the Satachi 2 in 1 stand
Does the area where the AirPods charge magnetically hold the AirPods in place? Or are they free to shift and move around?
No they move around if touched but only if touched!!!

Does the anker 3 in 1 get super hot while charging phone watch and airpods
Not noticed this
I'm disappointed it gives out only 5w for apple watches. Why not give out 10w like when you are using the charging cable?

It will support charging with a case as long as the case supports wireless charging. Best check with the case manufacturer.
