Another info bit. This app used very little Internet. I believe it was .02 gb data every hour. I wasted more data on a five minute TH-cam video than I did on a three hour Pokemon run.
Kenny Lee it crashes because there are more people using the servers than intended. Thousands of people from Canada, UK, etc, are joining other country's servers. The same thing happened with KH Unchained X when a bunch of people from the US and UK made a bunch of fake Japanese accounts.
Well on that note, I just hope Nintendo uses ALL THIS MONEY that they gotten and make some decent games/systems or something.. Or take advantage of this and come up with something Better......... or Fix the Glitches etc etc... I'm sorry for ranting. >;-p
Kenny Lee hopefully, Nintendo is pretty dense when it comes to console gaming. Since the NX won't compete with the new consoles Sony and Microsoft are making. If they don't make it third party friendly, they will keep having only Pokemon, Mario, and Zelda; which are great but...variety is the spice of life. I rather have the new God of War than another Mario or Pokemon game. tbh they should stop selling home consoles and just stick to the portables
Here's some tips. Sometimes, two of the same Pokemon can have different attacks. Take that into consideration before you start transferring Pokemon just because it has lower Combat Power. Some Pidgeys will have Tackle and Aerial Ace, while other Pidgeys will have Tackle and Air Cutter, which is more powerful. Also, if you tap your Pokeball when you miss, you pick it up again and can re-use it. You can also mark your Pokemon as favorites using the star in the top right of their stat screen.
A tip for you. When you evolve a pokémon it's moveset is again randomly chosen and not influenced by what it had before. If it's evolution could have 4 different moveset build it's just pick random between them. Thus first evolution moveset doesn't matter.
True when catching fully evolved then it's worth having a look at. But otherwise just go for the highest CP and hope it gets a nice moveset in the evolution.
+agaertner4 the Pokemon still show up in the world, that's not broken. The tracker just tells you where they are. In terms of business this will stop people playing thus less people buying coins.
The tip about the pulsating bar when you're facing the right direction is false. It doesn't work that way. The pulse happens whenever the Nearby distances are updated or a new Pokemon appears.
thanks, that's the conclusion i came to after experimenting and finding that the rectangle pulses due to time, not distance or direction, but i hadn't seen anyone else say so.
It's because the Pokemon is becoming closer therefore updating the nearby Pokemon distances, not because you are simply facing the correct cardinal direction if that makes sense. The idea is about right, but the exact reasoning is a little off.
I actually was able to track one the other day. Pikachu. It's really weird and hard to nail on the head but basically you keep the 9x9 Pokemon grid open while you're walking (it will vibrate if you're close enough to a Pokemon anyway) and watch that Pokemon you're tracking. If it's at the bottom right of the grid, it's as far as possible and close to being completely out of range. Start walking and it should move to the left as you get closer until it moves to second row. Then it will keep going to the left til it's in the first row. Then until it's in the first spot in the 9x9 grid. Then keep going. If it starts to fall back, go back to when it was in first place and go left or right. It should go down to two feet then 1. If not, you went the wrong way. You literally have to walk though. You can't drive down the street and hope to find one nearby. I found a Pikachu doing this at the mall. Read an article on Forbes about tracking and it worked. Worked for them, worked for me.
in the series the 3 guys who evolved eevee were called 'rainer', 'pyro' and 'sparky'. if you name your eevee one of these names than you can make it evolve into whichever evolution you want. Rainer being vaporeon, sparky being jolteon and pyro being flarereon
Another tip for leveling up: If you have some pokemon that you can evolve, but don't necessarily need to evolve right away, then wait until you have a lucky egg. This doubles your experience gains so if you save up a lot of evolutions (which give great exp, especially if the pokemon you evolve into is one you havnt caught before) then it can give you a HUGE boost. You'll get a lucky egg occasionally on level up, and they may well be worth your investment from defender bonus coins, if you aren't spending them all on incubators.
another tip is to try and use your infinite incubator on the small eggs, like the 2km ones, and the ones with only 3 uses on the big ones like the 5-10km eggs, so you don't burn through your limited incubators in just 6km of walking.
This kind of goes with what Lee said, but don't just don't transfer all your weaker Pokémon right away. Sure, that extra candy is nice, but if you get enough candy to make an extra evolution, evolve it! Get that extra exp in there! And make sure to pop the Lucky Egg if you have one!
Using AR mode definitely looks cool but it's a disadvantage in my opinion. If a Pokemon appears on the map while in an awkward location, like crossing the street when the walk sign is green, you don't really want to pause in the middle of the street and try and keep your camera pointed at a Pokemon. In non-ar mode you can just tap the pokemon on the map and the app will just keep it there in battle mode for quite a distance until you can find a comfortable/safe place to try and catch it.
wish the game explained it better..at least the VERY Very basics.... sheesh. It's like telling a 4 year old to go Hunting in the Wilderness in hopes of Survival with limited tools and and a small book of "knowledge for Surviving." or something >___>
1. When choosing your first pokémon, walk away from Charmander, Bulbasaur and Squirtle three-four times to make Pikachu appear among them. 2. To choose an Eevee evolution name the Eevee "Sparky" for Jolteon, "Rainer" for Vaporeon or "Pyro" for Flareon before pressing the "evolve"-button. Worked for me all three times. 3. A lucky egg increases your XP when catching ald evolving pokémon (everyone probably knows that by now, but yeah)
+Trusty Typhlosion I tried naming mine Sparky. The first Sparky became a Vaporeon, the second a Flareon, the third Eevee named Sparky became a Jolteon though :-P
It happened to me with a Paras and a Shelder they both displayed as three but when I clicked them to track them thy appeared next to me almost instantlym
Pay attention to how full the curved bar above your Pokemon in the menu is; that reveals its potential- so if you have 2 Pokemon with the same CP, power up the one with the lower bar, as it can be done more times (when the bar is full you can't power them up any more).
One more for anyone who rides their bike and picks up pokeballs and items from the ... Poke stops? Whatever they're called; after spinning the landmark just hit the X button and collect all the items. No reason to bother clicking on all the stuff that flies out. Just hit X and you get them all. Super quick while riding a bike with one hand.
Do I have to wait until I see the items appear or can I just swipe then exit immediately? Thanks for the tip though 👍👍. Also, do you know what the maximum speed is that one can travel while the eggs are still being counted towards?
Thanks for making a quick video that jumps from point to point and easily explains them. Far too many videos out there are 20 minutes long with clickbait titles.
Naming an Eevee either "Rainer", "Sparky" or "Pyro" after the original 3 Eevee brothers, will force the Eevee to evolve into either a Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon, depending on which of the names you choose.
To get curve balls really easily, slowly turn the Pokéball until it's upside down. When it's upside down and not spinning, throw it normally. It will go straight but will count as a curve ball for hitting the Pokémon upside down.
2 tips: You can pick up missed pokeballs by tapping them before they roll off screen or disappear. You can evolve your Eevee into a specific Eeveelution by naming it either Rainer (Vaporeon) Sparky (Jolteon) and Pyro (Flareon).
I'm not even that big of a Pokemon fan...but I was the first to admit that this title is one of the single greatest concepts in gaming history. In less than two weeks, it's helped bump up the NYSE numbers, sent folks scrambling to develop new rules of social etiquette, and gotten my hubby to walk about five miles. (Bonus: My dad, a doctor, noticed that groups of people looking through their cameras kept congregating at the entrance of the hospital. When I explained gyms and stops, he went, "Okay, that makes a LOT more sense now.") My old iPhone is due for an upgrade trade-in August 1. You can bet your sweet ass that this is the first thing I'm snagging. It's gonna get my fat butt outside and exercising!
only thing I wish they would of done different as of right now is the battles... I wish they were turn based like the actual games instead of a clicker hero game
Brandon Skk not at all but this game is meant to bring back your childhood which it does but it would make gyms ten times better if you got to choose abilities for your pokemon after you level them up and actually attack by turn not spam clicking
+CookieTown Vapes I think some people will be turned off if abilities, EV, and IV were put in this game. I agree with the the turn base system though. But I also wish they had stats in this game. Jolt eon with its high speed would be really attractive to get even without the turn base system.
basically when it prompts you to choose between charmander, squirtle and bulbasaur, walk away from the area so that they disappear. they will re appear in your new location. Do this 4 times and a pikachu will appear. This isn't a joke, check it on other videos.
Another tip If the game freezes while catching a pokemon ( As in you thrown the ball and the pokemon was caught , though doesn't say it, just shows the pokeball ) , tap on the pokeball and leave for a few seconds, hopefully the white save pokeball will come up then restart the app. With some luck you will still have the pokemon you just caught.
During the battles, watch the edge of the screen. When it flashes yellow, THAT'S when you dodge. Some attack animations are faster or slower depending on the move. If you have the patience to attack and dodge every single yellow flash, you can sweep gyms easy. My 417CP Tauros took down a 1020 Flareon after I figured this out. It took me 5 minutes, but I did it.
I do to........ I kind of wish they were more everywhere in my area, but I'm glad it's not... it would be too easy I'd say. It's good to have a good balance.
I agree somehow people in my area are like double my level and because of that there arent low enough levels in gyms in near me to battle, this is a major flaw in the game the stronger players get stronger as they win more battles but the newer players and the lower level ones struggle to level up as theyre only way is to catch pokemon and evolve them. I hope they will improve this by having battling between players instead of just gyms, having better training and team owned gyms or doin g what they do in the pokemon games and raise or lower pokemon to a certain level so its down to skill and luck not just who has a higher level.
A few corrections: razzberries only decrease the difficulty of a capture by one stage. If it's red, it goes to orange. Yellow, it goes to yellow green, and so on. It doesn't make them immediately green. Secondly, I had previously heard that Three footsteps was up to 2km away, two footsteps were within 100 feet, one footstep within 10 feet, and no footsteps was you practically on it. I haven't gotten to test it though since I started playing when the 3 step glitch was active. As for additional info, in the nearby pokemon list, the top left pokemon is the pokemon that is currently closest to you, where as the bottom right is the pokemon furthest away. You can use this to find out if you're homing in on the location of the pokemon you want. Also, the green grass rustles you see in the overworld indicate the most common spawn locations for the area. If you go to those when a pokemon is shown as being really close to you, you'll have a better chance of finding it.
It emits a pulse-like wave with the yellow outline of the tracking box... If you mess with tracking a certain pokemon, once you're heading in the right direction, you'll see it pulsing like a heartbeat...
thats sadly bs, it pulses when it updates. Just google it. The right way to track a pokemon is by utilizing the fact that pokemon who are nearer to you than others are higher on the list. The pokemon nearest is on the high left corner, so even if all of them have 3 footprints its possible to tell if youre runnning in the right or wrong direction by observing if your wanted pokemon rises or falls in the list
Well, I'm not sure if Google has ever really played before, but I'm going by what I've seen while actually playing the game, & this has been accurate for me in my experience...
if you want to choose you Eevee's evolution then you name it Rainer for Vaporeon. Pyro for Flareon. i unfortunately cant remember the one for Jolteon. but it was the name of the three that Ash and them met in the cartoon where theywere trying to get their brother to evolve his Eevee. the good ol' days.
Another tip- naming your eevee after one of the Eevee brothers forces it to evolve to whichever eevee that brother had. For example, if you name your eevee Pyro, you get a Flareon when you evolve it. If you name your eevee Rainer, then evolve it, you get Vaporeon. If you name your eevee Sparky, then evolve it, you get Jolteon. So eeveelution doesn't have to be completely random :)
Tips and tricks that I have learned either myself or from other players along the way: 1. the 9 slots on the pokemon radar are arranged like this: 123 456 789 if a pokemon is in space 4 and it moves to space 3 you are getting closer to it. if it moves back into space 5 you are getting farther away from it. I have triangulated many pokemon this way. Keep in mind that pokemon do despawn and sometimes the radar doesnt update accordingly so if you search in every direction and the pokemon keeps getting farther away that's probably what happened. It's annoying as all hell but it's best just to give up becuase you can spend hours trying to catch what isn't there. 2. Lucky Egg leveling: Use a lucky egg and level up tons of pokemon all at onces to gain tons of xp really fast and potentially gain levels as well. 3. When the shield in the shop is finished cooling down it will stay that way until you use it so it is best to claim as many gyms as possible before clicking it. You can gain a lot of coins and star powder this way. 4. GPS drift is a thing in pokemon go. What I am talking about is when you stand still and you see your character run all over the place still. This can come in handy in some situations. I will tell you a story as to how: There is a park here where I live which is under construction so there is construction fences all the way around it that clearly state it is under construction and not to trespass. There is also a gym straight in the center of that park and it just so happens that the fences are perfectly out of GPS range to the gym so people have to jump the fence in order to capture it. However if the gym is your own color already you can just run toward the fence and gps drifts across to the middle where the gym is and you can throw a pokemon onto it without breaking the law. I had an incident with some bicycle police the other day doing this. They thought I might jump the fence and told me in a very stern voice "The gym is too far away!!" I reassured them of course that I wouldn't dare jump the fence. 5. GPS drift will count as walking which means it counts toward hatching your eggs. I was sitting in a restaurant with some friends the other day and I gained the last half kilometer I needed to hatch 2 eggs and my phone was just sitting on the table. 6. If a pokemon pops up and you don't want it to flee use razz berries. Each time it pops out of a ball you can use another one. 7. Use your lures in popular trainer hang outs. They will appreciate it and they will probably place lures there as well so you can keep benefiting from it after your's wears off. 8. Travel in groups. A huge group of people who are the same color can really cause a lot of mayhem on the opposing teams' gyms. 9. Buy a battery pack and bring extra cords for it. I have a battery pack that can charge up my phone 4 times over it lasts me all day and i can plug in two cords so other people can benefit from it too. Bringing the appropriate equipment to stay out longer is always a good thing. 10. If you are doing something that's questionably illegal like trespassing or distracted driving I will give you a heads up right now the police are watching all over the place, so watch yourself out there, also be careful not to walk into bad neighborhoods. I have already walked into a few questionable areas at night and seen a few fairly shady characters lurking about. Being a somewhat equally intimidating person at night I have been okay so far but I have been in situations already that made me feel uncomfortable in the wrong areas of town. So just be careful out there and have fun.
Phoebe Foster i know right, a big hotel about 10 miles away has 6!!! pokestops and two gyms next to it, but god forbid that there would be some where people actually live
Yeah. You have to run from the selections your given a few times first. Found that out when I couldn't decide what I wanted. Would have loved a jiggly puff.
+Edward Nygma I'll link the video when I get home. a young fella marked the spot of the pokemon on the ground with a bucket. then walked straight away and marked the places where the footprints changed. then switched apps to measure. it consistently came up within .5 of those numbers after many attempts
I love how because there is a Geordie twang to your accent some people say you speak too fast.Good work man, only one I can think is how to active a Lure Module on a Pokestop, there is a little white bar when you go on the Pokestop which allows you to set a Lure Module running :)
33 seconds in and he calls it a Nintendo product. This sure is going to be informative. Here's some real shit you need to know. Trainer level is everything, Don't level up a single Pokemon for your first month. Always, always always have all your incubators full of eggs. Eggs are a good source of new pokemon (bonus exp for new species) and for strong Pokemon as you level. Incense kind of suck, lures are better but of course most people have to spend money on them. Pokemon aren't actually transferred to an inbox like a real Pokemon game, that button deletes them and gives you coins of their species in return. Delete 3/4 of your lowest level duplicate Pokemon. Gyms are a waste of time for the first month too. If you run out of inventory space, delete your weakest potions, never delete Pokeballs of any sort. The cooldown to re-use the same Pokestop is 5 minutes. The GPS radar for nearby Pokemon will leave them permanently at 3 steps away no matter where you go when the servers are lagging. The servers will be lagging 18 hours of every 24 hour day. Almost nothing you know about real Pokemon games apply in this game, because Niantic made this game for Nintendo, and Niantic re-used most of the concepts and all of the GPS coordinates from their last game Ingress, which has nothing to do with Pokemon and explains why people who actually go hiking and live on a farm will catch almost no Pokemon, and a lazy city dweller will catch 10 rares in a long night of eating pizza and drinking at a bar. And don't spend money on this game. It's a fun gimmick, it will help Nintendo sell their real Pokemon games you should be excited for: Pokemon Sun and Moon.
niantic produced it for nintendo and uses the second most popular nintendo francise so hwo is it not a nintendo product? you give an advice for a complete month? sounds like you already played it for half a year......you can actually get lvl 9 in a day just by catching pokemon when you use lucky eggs and lures/incense and then get the free lucky egg to evolve as many pokemon as possible and then you are probably around lvl 12 and can go to hit on some weak gyms actually, so if you have NOTHING to do on a weekend thats enough, but a whole month? thats like super pessimistic you will miss out on so much and it wont be fun
"You can lose an entire day's charge in about 40 minutes" - what kind of shit phone do you have? Walking around ACTIVELY playing the game with the screen on, medium brightness and GPS on high accuracy I get a bit over 4 hours out of a full charge and I have a cheap-ass Motorola. Just playing the game on and off during a normal day of work or class I get through the whole day with one full charge, no problems.
There were several experiments done on the range for each given footstep. The following was figured out; 3 footprints >= 90m, 2 footprints 60m - 90m, 1 footprint 40m - 60m, and 0 footprints < 40m away (in spawning range)
The rings change in size is actually just a skill shot. If you throw your ball into the ring you will score bonuses for the throw. These bonuses also increase the chance that throw has at catching the pokemon. The smaller the circle the better the bonus.
I need some help here guys, Pokemon Go when in battle with a wild Pokemon, tells me, 'it cannot detect my phone's orientation.' This means that i cannot see any pokemon through the camera and so have to turn AR mode off. Does anyone know why this is?
Apparently if your ball goes through the circle. you'll get a "nice" throw, which is worth more points. the smaller the circle (for the tougher pokemon) I've noticed they don't pop back out as much. Also the smaller the circle is when you throw your ball the more points you get (if you get the ball through that circle.) AKA "Great" throw.
i could of got a jynx BUT it was hidding under the stop point so when ever i tried to click the jynx the stop point kept popping up instead so i had to let the jynx go :( and i missed it ;'(
I've lost several 2 Pikachu's I've found at work, I catch them then there is no catching/stuggle animation, it just stares at the pokeball, though I have found that switching apps a few times and back and forth from pokemon go, forcing it to reconnect to the servers. then restarting the app sometimes saves these pokemon.
As far as I've been able to test, the flash is the list updating spawns. Not sure if it's related to tracking a specific pokemon. REALLY wish this would have been more like the launch trailer where it told you a pokemon was nearby and pointed you in the direction.
there are less pokemon in neighborhoods/residential areas so they tend to be far away if you live in the suburbs. just go out to more of a city and you should find a bunch. if theyre still not spawning restart the app.
Yep that's the secret pikachu , by memory you run when given the choice of Charmanda , Squirtle or Bulbasaur 3-4 times then he gives up and gives you Pikachu.
They're adding more as they go but they really only put focus on populated areas where there work would prove fruitful. Over time they'll expand to every little nook and cranny.
Answered your own question there, your best bet is to hop over to ingress, and make sure there are portals nearby, and if there aren't, go find some "monuments" (loose word, lots of not so monument seeming things work), and send them in as suggestions, this will update Niantic's database of "monuments", which will eventually translate into places they can use in Pokemon GO. To explain, Niantic's other game, Ingress, has a lot in common with Pokemon GO, including the focus on "landmarks", however, in Ingress, Ingress being much more of a cult thing, it was possible for players to suggest locations, which means that they built up a massive database of "landmarks". When they obtained the licence from Nintendo to make a Pokemon game, they largely ported over those locations to become the pokestops and gyms, I say largely because there are a lot more portals than gyms/pokestops. Whether they will continue to update the Pokemon Go database based on the Ingress one, implement a separate system to work separately, or implement a new system, but keep bi-directional sharing, is unclear at this time.
If you live in an area where it hasnt been officially released you can still catch the starter but you may or may not see stops, gyms or pokemons so IF that's your case, check again later.
you can also use an incense and you should be able to catch a pokemon every 5 minuets or so no matter where you are. could be a bit of a waste of time but it worked out at my place when we were testing out the game
I noticed that some pokestops, when a lure is activated they much more often spawn rare pokemons (uhh rare, I don't mean legendary). So when you come across a pokestop with a pokemon like Jynx or Squirtle (or any other starter) it's best to visit that spot often :D
You can decide specifically what Eeveelution you want by naming your Eevee after the 3 trainers from the first season who had the 3 evolved versions Sparky for Jolteon Rainer for Vaporeon Pyro for Flareon
Not true, it pulses when the list of nearby pokemon updates. The only way to properly track is to keep the list open and as they progress (bottom right to top left) then you know you're getting closer
Gɑɱiɳg Fѳʀ Duɱɱiɛร yeah its completely true but you have to like not even started the game or rather not caught any of those three pokemon they just kinda give you
One tip is to name your Eevee to select which of the three evolutions there is. To evolve into Flareon nickname your Eevee "Pyro". To evolve into Vaporeon nickname it "Rainer". Lastly to evolve into Jolteon nickname it "Sparky". This always worked for me. Credit to some clever folks on Reddit that figured it out.
If you're on the move, like a passenger in a car or right on the border of where a Pokemon is showing up, you can just click the Pokemon so it appears for you to catch and take your time from there. No worries about going out of range. They can't disappear if you take too long. (To clarify, that's not to say they can't run if you fail to catch it too many times.) Also, you don't need to click each item you get from a Poke Stop. Just flip the little image until items stop showing up and don't worry about missing any bubbles that float up. When they can't go up any further they just pop and you get the items anyway. What I do is just close the Poke Stop and everything instantly pops and I collect it all at once. No need to click each item.
Always evolve your pokemon in groups. Once you have enough candy, make sure you have a bunch of pokemon ready to evolve. Then use a lucky egg, you will double your EXP.
Another tip I just found out, you can use the pokestops multiple times within a day, it turns back blue in a good few minutes or so, and you can spin again to get more items
The best trick is the Eevie hack... Name your Eevie (Rainer before evolving and he'll turn into Vaporeon) (Sparky he'll turn into Jolteon) and (Pyro and he'll turn into Flareon)
+JustThatWWE Guy whatculture, Whatculture WWE and whatculture Gaming are all connected. See "Whatculture Gaming: top 10 WORST Fatalaties in MK History", i think you will reconize the voice.
I live next to the beach, no water pokemon but a shit ton of magnemite and voltorb. I've evolved 3 voltorb and 2 magnemite and its only be out a few days in the uk.
Opposite here. My town is screwed up. Found Krabby and Horsea in the middle of the street, no water anywhere. Went to a lake, zero water (barely anything for that matter).
tip: if you're from new york, come to central park (5ave and 59st) Q,N Train, there's 5 pokestops always lure 24/7 and lots and lots and i mean lots of people, and rare pokemoms appear there like a aerodactyl today and a lapras today. :)
Evolving pokemon gives you 500 XP. What could you do about it? Step 1, catch everything you can. Don't transfer right away. Step 2, when you have a ton of pokemon to deal with, near or at your cap for storage, go ahead then and use a Lucky Egg (you get a few from leveling up, or you can buy with coins you earn from defending gyms). Evolve, evolve, evolve. I'm sure you have hundreds of pidgey and rattata candies by now and this will put them to good use. Evolve pokemon from stage one to stage two, then transfer ones you don't plan to keep. That should earn you quite a bit of XP.
Tip #14: You can force your Eeveelution by naming it Pyro, Sparky, or Rainer, depending on whether you want a Flareon, Jolteon, or Vapereon, respectively.
The tip about the rings isn't complete. I can add that, depending on the size of the inner circle, if you hit inside the inner circle with the pokeball you'll see either "Nice", "Great", or "Excellent" and have an increased chance of catching the pokemon, along with an XP bonus (10XP, 50XP, and 100XP, respectively) if you do capture the pokemon with that throw. I do not know if a smaller circle without hitting the inside increases your chances by the same, less, or even at all. Either way, RNG seems to be a bigger factor in the process than the circles, no matter what size I try or whether or not I hit the inside. Because of RNG, it makes it very difficult to test these things, and it would be nicer if the game simply told us.
it's hard to see, but I think that pulsating nearby box in the bottom right pulses white when it updates, and green when you the one your are tracking (you clicked on it and it has the blue circle) is in the general direction you're headed. The green color is very hard to tell, so I could be wrong on that one, but the white pulse is definitely with every update. 3 steps is not only the max distance, but it has the greatest range since it goes as far out as the game will register on your screen. It is the least reliable for gauging distance, but you can use it instead to tell if it is the closest to you. The pokemon in ninth position (bottom right corner) is the furthest, while each space going from right to left, bottom to top, is closer. the top left space is closest and is where you are guaranteed to see the steps change depending on distance. The steps on everything other space after that first one can change, but it is not guaranteed to change. The nearby box also takes time to register and update, so it could say that the pokemon being tracked is 2 steps away when it shows up for you to catch. It just hasn't caught up, but that's not a huge problem if you had the right heading. My question is if there is a way to force the game to update the nearby box by opening one of the in game screens and exiting out like you could in ingress.
Hey dude, maybe someone already said that, but you can also name your EVEE on one of three names that represent their next evolve like pyro = fire type, sparky = the electric type, rainer = water type
If you rename your Eevees you can choose what they evolve into. If you name him Pyro, he'll be a Flareon, and if you name him Sparky, he'll turn into a Jolteon, I forget what name correlates to Vaporeon but I hope this helps.
You can also save up your candies for a LONG time without evolving and then use a lucky egg and evolve them at the same time to get max exp gains. I found that this levels me up 3-4 levels each time I do it
pokestop reset every 5 min and 20 sec. and all items are random so if u want eggs, stay in a location that's close or your staying next to. if u max your eggs slot. u will only get potions pokeball or revives. I stayed in a pokestop for only 2 hours in a wedding party and I got all my eggs slots full and got 60 pokeball and many potions and revives.
Lure modules affect all players, incense affect individuals. They do stack though. So if you're at a Lure, also throw up an incense and you'll see a lot more pokemon
I forget the names but you can choose which evolution of eevee you want. It's a reference to an older episode. Also, I heard if your pokeballs drops on the ground when you miss, you can pick it back up
I haven't tried the Eevee evolution yet but when I do I'll confirm if its real or not, but here are the names Sparky for Jolteon Rainer for Vaporeon Pyro for Flareon And I've had no luck picking up pokeballs
You also forgot that when you start fresh. Before you pick any pokemon, when your at the choice of squirtle, bulbasaur, or charmander, if you walk away from them so they dissappear 4 times or so. Then the next time they show up, you have the option of capturing pikachu instead
If you switch AR off, when you get into a run with a Pokemon, instantly start swiping up towards the middle of your screen. You got a very good chance to instantly catch a Pokemon. It's very easy to get a nice, great or even excellent. I've gotten a few excellent's
soo does the compass arrow show you the direction you have to walk in to obtain the pokemon you selected because sometimes i feel like just waking the distance will give me the pokemon and not that specific direction
What did he mean by something will pulse if you're facing the correct direction of a pokemon you're tracking? I need details on that. I know what the footsteps mean but i would just walk around and hope it gets closer
By naming your Eevee you can chose it's evolution. Naming it "Pyro" before evolving it will make it a Flareon, "Rainer" a Vapoureon, and "Sparky" a Jolteon
TIP: when facing multiple Pokestops..(and you might be traveling in a car as a passenger) you can swipe and once the items come up you can hit the little X on the bottom and claim all items with out poking one at a time.
So, my daughter and I tested this one. You CAN control your Eevee's evolution! There are only three eeveelutions available in Pokemon Go, but you can choose which one you get. Name your Eevee Pyro for a Flareon, Jolty for a Jolteon, or Rainer for a Vaporeon. We tried this with Pyro earlier today and it worked, my daughter now has a Flareon!
Another info bit. This app used very little Internet. I believe it was .02 gb data every hour. I wasted more data on a five minute TH-cam video than I did on a three hour Pokemon run.
Wow really? Pretty interesting..... seeing as that it Crashes the way it does. (Though I think it crashed on me once)...
Preach it Mando. lol
But the tip remains useful, as you can catch evolved Pokemon and obtain many of the same fully-evolved Pokemon.
True when catching fully evolved then it's worth having a look at. But otherwise just go for the highest CP and hope it gets a nice moveset in the evolution.
k
Did not know about the pokeball pick up thing. Thanks man
Anyone always have 3 step footprints no matter where you go?
This is a glitch and they are working to patch it. I am pretty sure everyone has it if they are updated.
+Reese Hill what annoys me about it is they did it on purpose. They did it so the servers could handle going to more countries.
+Ghoststing87 how does that help with server stability?
Only thing I could think of is if the tracker wasn't functioning they could save some badwidth and power
No the green pulse actually does mean you are going in the right direction works every time
It's because the Pokemon is becoming closer therefore updating the nearby Pokemon distances, not because you are simply facing the correct cardinal direction if that makes sense. The idea is about right, but the exact reasoning is a little off.
No, it doesn't, it pulsates when the list is refreshed, it's always green, no matter what.
Somebody confirm this!
+Alien_pixels I have a vaporeon lol
+Alien_pixels it's true but I can't have the evolution already
+Alien_pixels I can confirm this. I tried it with Sparky evolving into Jolteon and Rainer to Vaporeon.
+Alien_pixels me and five friends try this with seven Eevees. 100% success rate
Also Reddit confirms too
Another tip for leveling up:
If you have some pokemon that you can evolve, but don't necessarily need to evolve right away, then wait until you have a lucky egg. This doubles your experience gains so if you save up a lot of evolutions (which give great exp, especially if the pokemon you evolve into is one you havnt caught before) then it can give you a HUGE boost.
You'll get a lucky egg occasionally on level up, and they may well be worth your investment from defender bonus coins, if you aren't spending them all on incubators.
thanks, I'll keep this in mind.
Trayxxxx you're welcome, glad to help
another tip is to try and use your infinite incubator on the small eggs, like the 2km ones, and the ones with only 3 uses on the big ones like the 5-10km eggs, so you don't burn through your limited incubators in just 6km of walking.
Combine this with hanging out at a lure module and you cash in the exp
This kind of goes with what Lee said, but don't just don't transfer all your weaker Pokémon right away. Sure, that extra candy is nice, but if you get enough candy to make an extra evolution, evolve it! Get that extra exp in there! And make sure to pop the Lucky Egg if you have one!
AR mode turned off makes catching them a bit easier as well. No shakes on the screen when throwing the ball that way.
Agreed!
+Cosmos Gaming augmented reality.
Are there any benefits to ar compared to not using it?
+ATamedBuffalo Maybe more fun due to the requirement of actually having to move your camera to find the pokemon? But other than that, no not really.
Using AR mode definitely looks cool but it's a disadvantage in my opinion. If a Pokemon appears on the map while in an awkward location, like crossing the street when the walk sign is green, you don't really want to pause in the middle of the street and try and keep your camera pointed at a Pokemon. In non-ar mode you can just tap the pokemon on the map and the app will just keep it there in battle mode for quite a distance until you can find a comfortable/safe place to try and catch it.
these are super basic, but also very useful for new players. 10/10
wish the game explained it better..at least the VERY Very basics.... sheesh.
It's like telling a 4 year old to go Hunting in the Wilderness in hopes of Survival with limited tools and and a small book of "knowledge for Surviving." or something >___>
+Kenny Lee yes it's exactly like sending a child into wilderness....
Just got it here today (Canada)... few of these tips were excellent :)
If you name an eevee Rainer then when you evolve it it will be vapoureon
Why does changing the pokemons name matter
+Trusty Typhlosion this is a myth I think it's been debunked go search
+Trusty Typhlosion I tried naming mine Sparky. The first Sparky became a Vaporeon, the second a Flareon, the third Eevee named Sparky became a Jolteon though :-P
***** Yeah, seems to work for most as you say. Not that I mind it really. My nearby park is loaded with Eevees :-P
Ami Haruno
Yep number 2 is currently working though maybe patched in December when I heard they will be adding Gen 2.
So about the 3 footprint thing. There is currently a glitch that makes all of the nearby Pokemon with 3 footprints
I have that so idk when a poke is really nearby
it's being fixed as we speak... or type in this situation
There was a lapras nearby while the glitch was happening ~T_T~ I couldn't find it
+Thesoundinthewoods that happened to me with a pikachu and alakazam
It happened to me with a Paras and a Shelder they both displayed as three but when I clicked them to track them thy appeared next to me almost instantlym
what is the blue ring that pops up when you hit the ground?
what do you mean?
The edge of that ring at its longest radius just shows you how far away you can be from Pokemon and pokestops and still be able to Catch/collect them
no he means when you randomly touch somewhere a little blue circular light shows up i think, and im not sure what its for either.
I've been wondering this as well. So far it doesn't seem to serve any particular purpose other than showing you that you just tapped the screen.
its to indicate players interaction with the virtual environment.
Masudasuda knows what's up.
This video was prematurely posted.
Do I have to wait until I see the items appear or can I just swipe then exit immediately? Thanks for the tip though 👍👍.
Also, do you know what the maximum speed is that one can travel while the eggs are still being counted towards?
about 20km/h as far as I experienced
Or while driving a car through a bus stop full of kids. Collect items with one hand, operate windshield wipers to wipe off their blood with the other.
thank u, that's actually helpful info as I play in a fast moving car
Thanks for making a quick video that jumps from point to point and easily explains them. Far too many videos out there are 20 minutes long with clickbait titles.
Naming an Eevee either "Rainer", "Sparky" or "Pyro" after the original 3 Eevee brothers, will force the Eevee to evolve into either a Vaporeon, Jolteon, or Flareon, depending on which of the names you choose.
didnt work when i tried it.
you lying sack of shit
+Dean Winchester I just tried it it does work but when you rename it click out the app and reboot it then evolve it
After you renamed it you have to restart the app to make sure the name gets saved on the server
Works fine for me
We ALL know team Mystic is the best, right?
Nah, Valor = Power
hell yeah we do!!!!
You mean Team FrozenChicken? Nah, Valor FTW
Valor is beast
+Nyanwolf500 Valor is mor like a fire turkey so team mystic is better but that's just my opinion
To get curve balls really easily, slowly turn the Pokéball until it's upside down. When it's upside down and not spinning, throw it normally. It will go straight but will count as a curve ball for hitting the Pokémon upside down.
just tried it, doesn't work
What's that red splatter looking stuff that's around all of the people laying down on the road playing the game?
*Like*
Mmmm, Strawberry filling!
@InfinitebeastGames He's making a joke that people will get hit by cars playing this.
+Infinitebeast Games It's a joke 😂
+Clorox Bleach I have seen you on multiple comment sections mr bleach, why is this?
Well. It is a mobile game, You weren't expecting a full story and amazing cut scenes where you?!
Would of been more fun to play agree, i dont like spamming my finger on the screen xD
+Brandon Skk arnt all Pokémon games mobile games
Brandon Skk not at all but this game is meant to bring back your childhood which it does but it would make gyms ten times better if you got to choose abilities for your pokemon after you level them up and actually attack by turn not spam clicking
+CookieTown Vapes I think some people will be turned off if abilities, EV, and IV were put in this game. I agree with the the turn base system though. But I also wish they had stats in this game. Jolt eon with its high speed would be really attractive to get even without the turn base system.
Legend has it that Arceus can be found in Chernobyl
Legend has it that Pokemon Go only has Gen 1 Pokemon in it at present so you're full of shit. :^)
ZarosianCabbage It's a joke
ha that's funny
maybe
+Jacob Langerman are you serious
How about the easter egg that let's you choose pikachu as your starting pokemon?
?
basically when it prompts you to choose between charmander, squirtle and bulbasaur, walk away from the area so that they disappear. they will re appear in your new location. Do this 4 times and a pikachu will appear. This isn't a joke, check it on other videos.
+Joseph Marsh I just learned this yesterday I was mad :(
Damn.........i didn't get it.........well atleast i still have charmander
I got pikachu in a 2 km egg
Another tip
If the game freezes while catching a pokemon ( As in you thrown the ball and the pokemon was caught , though doesn't say it, just shows the pokeball ) , tap on the pokeball and leave for a few seconds, hopefully the white save pokeball will come up then restart the app.
At 2:16 you can see a rare event that many only dream to witness
i don't get it.
It basically never loads up.

Hahahhahaha!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Battling sucks, but I like collecting pokemon
I do to........ I kind of wish they were more everywhere in my area, but I'm glad it's not... it would be too easy I'd say. It's good to have a good balance.
All my Pokémon are too low for Gyms and there aren't any close to me anyways.
Transfer your duplicates and level up your pokemon
Yeah I feel they same I'm proud when I have my sandshrew at 421 cp but I look at others with their cp in the 1000's and I'm like oh...
I hope they will improve this by having battling between players instead of just gyms, having better training and team owned gyms or doin g what they do in the pokemon games and raise or lower pokemon to a certain level so its down to skill and luck not just who has a higher level.
if you tap you compass icon it fixes your camera to the direction your facing and turns when you do so your not dragging your finger all the time.
doesn't work with me.
Just sends directs me north
+Exzardiac Claessens you might need to recalibrate the gyroscope, but it doesn't always work for me either
did anyone understand a word he said?!
Brit fuck.
Did you not?
im hearing impaired and I was able to understand him HAHAHAHAH
It was honestly hard because he was talking fast and with the accent, had to watch it a second time with captions

What does he mean by pulsate? Like what does the tracker bar do when your nearing a pokemon?
The white border flashes green and expands for a moment. It's subtle, you'd have to be looking for it to see it usually.
Luca S. Wow. Lol... Triggered much??
if you want to choose you Eevee's evolution then you name it Rainer for Vaporeon. Pyro for Flareon. i unfortunately cant remember the one for Jolteon. but it was the name of the three that Ash and them met in the cartoon where theywere trying to get their brother to evolve his Eevee. the good ol' days.
Sparky for Jolteon
Anime* kek
Jolteon is "Sparky"
lol, It's funny how people are in denial that pokemon is in fact an anime.
+Blake Ballard noones in denial. i meant anime not cartoon. it was a small mistake. 😒😒
Why is it that the gameplay in the video looks different than my app? Was that stuff trailer gameplay?
It's only the gameplay in the beginning and other parts of the video.
I believe the interface may be different between Apple and Android phones, or different in other countries.
Looks like some of the clips were from beta mode when the app was being trialed/tested
Maybe your or the video's AR (Augmented Reality) was On/Off. Don't know
+SandokanTheManiac
.....what a LOP
Another tip- naming your eevee after one of the Eevee brothers forces it to evolve to whichever eevee that brother had. For example, if you name your eevee Pyro, you get a Flareon when you evolve it. If you name your eevee Rainer, then evolve it, you get Vaporeon. If you name your eevee Sparky, then evolve it, you get Jolteon. So eeveelution doesn't have to be completely random :)
Tips and tricks that I have learned either myself or from other players along the way:
1. the 9 slots on the pokemon radar are arranged like this:
123
456
789
if a pokemon is in space 4 and it moves to space 3 you are getting closer to it. if it moves back into space 5 you are getting farther away from it.
2. Lucky Egg leveling:
Use a lucky egg and level up tons of pokemon all at onces to gain tons of xp really fast and potentially gain levels as well.
I will tell you a story as to how:
There is a park here where I live which is under construction so there is construction fences all the way around it that clearly state it is under construction and not to trespass.
Just sucks that the game sucks to play if you live in a suburb or not in a city
i feel you :( i have nothing around me
Very true, I have to travel 10 miles to get to a pokestop :(
Https://support.pokemongo.nianticlabs/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=319928 to request poke stops and gyms in your area
+macrixen never mined seems as they are not accepting requests at the moment
Phoebe Foster i know right, a big hotel about 10 miles away has 6!!! pokestops and two gyms next to it, but god forbid that there would be some where people actually live
you can get pikachu with new account, game never told me that.
Yeah. You have to run from the selections your given a few times first. Found that out when I couldn't decide what I wanted.
Would have loved a jiggly puff.
youre wrong about distances.
0 footprints
Source?
+Edward Nygma I'll link the video when I get home. a young fella marked the spot of the pokemon on the ground with a bucket. then walked straight away and marked the places where the footprints changed. then switched apps to measure. it consistently came up within .5 of those numbers after many attempts
he is also wrong about the function of raz berries. they don't change the circle color they slow it's movement.
mine was 3 footprints for a venonat and it was down the road about 15 metres
+Barry Allen are you certain it was the same venonat? many pokemon don't show up on the 3x3.
I love how because there is a Geordie twang to your accent some people say you speak too fast.Good work man, only one I can think is how to active a Lure Module on a Pokestop, there is a little white bar when you go on the Pokestop which allows you to set a Lure Module running :)
3 footsteps is 200m, 2 is 120, 1 is 40 and 0 is spawned
0 means that it's within spawning range. I've had 0 footprints and still haven't had them spawn around me
3 is within 1km lol
why do pokemon spawn when all of them are 3 footsteps?
+animeaddt cause sometimes Pokemon have not spawned, and right when they do if they are close they will just appear.
+animeaddt there is a glitch rn that the footsteps wont change even if u get closer
L
Gimmie your ring
W
👍
niantic produced it for nintendo and uses the second most popular nintendo francise so hwo is it not a nintendo product?
you give an advice for a complete month? sounds like you already played it for half a year......you can actually get lvl 9 in a day just by catching pokemon when you use lucky eggs and lures/incense and then get the free lucky egg to evolve as many pokemon as possible and then you are probably around lvl 12 and can go to hit on some weak gyms actually, so if you have NOTHING to do on a weekend thats enough, but a whole month? thats like super pessimistic you will miss out on so much and it wont be fun
Just playing the game on and off during a normal day of work or class I get through the whole day with one full charge, no problems.
iPhones are known for shit battery storage
I have an iPhone that I use and it lasts hours at a time
My iPhone lasted 2 and half hr while playing this game
+Pyro D Law How high did you set your brightness level?
I can use my half battery Android for about 5 hours
There were several experiments done on the range for each given footstep. The following was figured out; 3 footprints >= 90m, 2 footprints 60m - 90m, 1 footprint 40m - 60m, and 0 footprints < 40m away (in spawning range)
The rings change in size is actually just a skill shot.
If you throw your ball into the ring you will score bonuses for the throw.
These bonuses also increase the chance that throw has at catching the pokemon.
The smaller the circle the better the bonus.
I haven't come this early since I lost my virginity
haha Nice
It's not original at all. Just worded differently.
+Slapping Guy i don't care it was the best i havent been this early i've seen yet
So you've never been early?
why does this post exist
I need some help here guys, Pokemon Go when in battle with a wild Pokemon, tells me, 'it cannot detect my phone's orientation.' This means that i cannot see any pokemon through the camera and so have to turn AR mode off. Does anyone know why this is?
It can be because your phone does not have the gyro sensor that most recent phones have
phone is probably shit like mine, most phones under 500$ probably won't let u use ar. that's why I'm saving up for a galaxy s7
+Josue H. Ramírez ugh..really?
+Angel Avenger i have the Samsung J5
+Llewelyn Davies yes, the samsung galaxy and iphone have the gyro sensor. You can test your phone by watching a 360° video in youtube.
smallest green circle? how come it works better when i wait till its the biggest then?
Apparently if your ball goes through the circle. you'll get a "nice" throw, which is worth more points. the smaller the circle (for the tougher pokemon) I've noticed they don't pop back out as much. Also the smaller the circle is when you throw your ball the more points you get (if you get the ball through that circle.) AKA "Great" throw.
+Melissa Lewis why do they explain nothing in game lol
I know. I would have gone my whole life never knowing this. Someone explained it to me.
You can get an "excellent throw" too, which happens when the circle is even smaller than "great throw" circles. +100 xp for excellent
Really informative for people who are just starting. Keep it up bro :)
eevee's evolutions are usually random, unless you were to change the nickname to that of the eevee brother's names:
Pyro
Sparky
Rainer
You can get pickachu as starter pokemon
yeh haha not many people know how tho
+720 No Scoped I know how to. What sucks is I learned how to after I already started playing the game lol
lmao after I got my starter pokemon in my room, a pickachu appeared behind me 😂
i cud ve gotten one but charizard ftw
i could of got a jynx BUT it was hidding under the stop point so when ever i tried to click the jynx the stop point kept popping up instead so i had to let the jynx go :( and i missed it ;'(
I lost my magmar when it crashed.
i can't log in with my google account :( it's just showing server problem
WOW
That is horrible
i lost a koffing
I've lost several 2 Pikachu's I've found at work, I catch them then there is no catching/stuggle animation, it just stares at the pokeball, though I have found that switching apps a few times and back and forth from pokemon go, forcing it to reconnect to the servers. then restarting the app sometimes saves these pokemon.
For some reason I can only see 3 foot prints on my nearby list, no matter what I do, anyone have the same problem?
Yes it is a known glitch right now.
what the video said about the bar flashing when your facing the correct direction for a selected Pokemon, is that confirmed to be true?
+91Hokage it's a glitch in the game right know so his info is not helpful right now
As far as I've been able to test, the flash is the list updating spawns.
Thanks, Scott. This was really helpful :) It's the little things you wouldn't think of asking somebody about!
This has been one of the more informative videos and it was nicely done. Thank You good job.
im pretty sure if 3-4 pokemon pop up and you dont click on them you get pikachu
Yes, that's how the pikachu starter secret happens
Yep that's the secret pikachu , by memory you run when given the choice of Charmanda , Squirtle or Bulbasaur 3-4 times then he gives up and gives you Pikachu.
i randomly got him after i missed 4 pokemon he just appeared in my pokedex it glitched i also got him in an egg so i have 2
has anyone tried running away from the pikachu to see what happenes?
+luis jimenez yeah if u miss pikachu 10 tims you actually get a purple snorlax
WHY! THERE ARE NO POKEMON BY MY PLACE.... And no pokestops...( i dont live in a city...)
Whether they will continue to update the Pokemon Go database based on the Ingress one, implement a separate system to work separately, or implement a new system, but keep bi-directional sharing, is unclear at this time.
its completely user inputed they don't actually choose anything. Populated areas have shit tons because there are people there requesting them.

Team Valor👏🏾
#Valorclub
+ElephantMan2048 I see what you did there. Instinct sadly. ):
VALOR!! Let us unite!
I noticed that some pokestops, when a lure is activated they much more often spawn rare pokemons (uhh rare, I don't mean legendary). So when you come across a pokestop with a pokemon like Jynx or Squirtle (or any other starter) it's best to visit that spot often :D
You can decide specifically what Eeveelution you want by naming your Eevee after the 3 trainers from the first season who had the 3 evolved versions
Sparky for Jolteon
Rainer for Vaporeon
Pyro for Flareon
DID YOU KNOW? If you have a evee and you name it sparky before you evolve it, I guarantee it will evolve into jolteon. 😊 Your welcome 😘
Pyro for flareon and Rainer for vaporeon
And if you name her Rainer you will get a vapaeron, seriously
giggle giggle nice 😊
Deep In Cosmos nice 😊
not 100% of the time.
IT PULSES WHEN I'M FACING THE RIGHT DIRECTION? IS THIS TRUE? OMFG i've been doing it wrong the whole time
I bloody hope this is true
what does he mean by pulses
it's false don't.work like that
It pulses when new Pokemon are near not when your walking in the right directions
Not true, it pulses when the list of nearby pokemon updates. The only way to properly track is to keep the list open and as they progress (bottom right to top left) then you know you're getting closer
If your new and you walk away from the default 3 starter pokemon charzard squirtle and bulbasaur 5 times a PIKACHU WILL SPAWN
rly
+Gɑɱiɳg Fѳʀ Duɱɱiɛร yes. I tried it and it worked. Then I found a more powerful pikachu next day. Worth it.
Gɑɱiɳg Fѳʀ Duɱɱiɛร yeah its completely true but you have to like not even started the game or rather not caught any of those three pokemon they just kinda give you
Hmm
what do you mean by 5 times?
(To clarify, that's not to say they can't run if you fail to catch it too many times.)
Also, you don't need to click each item you get from a Poke Stop. Just flip the little image until items stop showing up and don't worry about missing any bubbles that float up. When they can't go up any further they just pop and you get the items anyway. What I do is just close the Poke Stop and everything instantly pops and I collect it all at once. No need to click each item.
How to use special attacks, you don't say how just the obvious reason on why.
you just hold the the screen instead of tapping
i dont even play pokemon Go, why am i here
Lol
because you should?
nobody gives a shit
the fuck dude chill
you want to be prepared in case you decide to play soon. like me
Dude you need to slow down when you talk lol
Always evolve your pokemon in groups. Once you have enough candy, make sure you have a bunch of pokemon ready to evolve. Then use a lucky egg, you will double your EXP.
Another tip I just found out, you can use the pokestops multiple times within a day, it turns back blue in a good few minutes or so, and you can spin again to get more items
Anyone else throw curveballs 100% of the time?
CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!
The best trick is the Eevie hack... Name your Eevie (Rainer before evolving and he'll turn into Vaporeon) (Sparky he'll turn into Jolteon) and (Pyro and he'll turn into Flareon)
Here's a tip: there's a great pokestop on Dan Ryan Expressway, but you have to lay down (face to the pavement) in the leftmost lane to access it

Pretty much fucked if you don't stay near water for water pokemon
I live next to the beach, no water pokemon but a shit ton of magnemite and voltorb. I've evolved 3 voltorb and 2 magnemite and its only be out a few days in the uk.
lowzag Maybe all them thunderstorms lol
Dude I've caught 8 raticates and I just caught my 70th or so ratata -_- and don't even get me started on pidgey
+xXQuadLinkXx your lucky, evolving give shit tons of xp
Opposite here. My town is screwed up. Found Krabby and Horsea in the middle of the street, no water anywhere. Went to a lake, zero water (barely anything for that matter).
Thumbs up if you're on Team Valor!
tip: if you're from new york, come to central park (5ave and 59st) Q,N Train, there's 5 pokestops always lure 24/7 and lots and lots and i mean lots of people, and rare pokemoms appear there like a aerodactyl today and a lapras today.
When tracking pokemon, you said a bar will pulsate when you are facing in the right direction. What bar are you referring to?
A green outline will apear around the nearby bar
I think he said "the ball" meaning the small pokeball in the bottom middle
The arrows that appear
it's hard to see, but I think that pulsating nearby box in the bottom right pulses white when it updates, and green when you the one your are tracking (you clicked on it and it has the blue circle) is in the general direction you're headed.
I had not idea that the icon pulsed when you went in the right direction, that is so helpful!! dratinis here i come >=]
Eevee tip: name it Pyro for Flareon, Rainer for Vaporeon, and Sparky for Jolteon
For once a nice clean video. no click bait just useful info!
Lure modules affect all players, incense affect individuals. They do stack though. So if you're at a Lure, also throw up an incense and you'll see a lot more pokemon
I forget the names but you can choose which evolution of eevee you want. It's a reference to an older episode. Also, I heard if your pokeballs drops on the ground when you miss, you can pick it back up
I haven't tried the Eevee evolution yet but when I do I'll confirm if its real or not, but here are the names
Sparky for Jolteon
Rainer for Vaporeon
Pyro for Flareon
And I've had no luck picking up pokeballs
You can't pick them back up, and the Eeveelution is random
TheClarkBark Have you tested the name thing? I saw lots of people saying it worked, I'm gonna give it a test when I find more Eevees, its worth a shot
The name thing most definitely works, 100% of the time. It is random if you don't name them.
I met a trainer who had tried that and said it didn't work- I'm pretty positive it's random.
You also forgot that when you start fresh. Before you pick any pokemon, when your at the choice of squirtle, bulbasaur, or charmander, if you walk away from them so they dissappear 4 times or so. Then the next time they show up, you have the option of capturing pikachu instead
Another tip, you can control eevee's evolution by changing its name
Sparky=Jolteon
Rainer= Vaporeon
Pyro= Flareon
If you switch AR off, when you get into a run with a Pokemon, instantly start swiping up towards the middle of your screen. You got a very good chance to instantly catch a Pokemon.
It's very easy to get a nice, great or even excellent. I've gotten a few excellent's
soo does the compass arrow show you the direction you have to walk in to obtain the pokemon you selected because sometimes i feel like just waking the distance will give me the pokemon and not that specific direction
but how do you use the special attack? do you tap the blue bar? or does it automatically activate as you tap when you reach the requisite?
