+Scabe ??? I posted the last one just 3 months ago: th-cam.com/video/ssx2YA1MGYQ/w-d-xo.html It's a lot harder to find decent quality recordings from the 70's with commercials. It's why I've only posted 24 volumes of them in five years.
+80sCommercialVault that's why I said I was glad you found a good clip. They're rare considering these were made over 40 years ago. Thanks for sharing.
7:58--I remember how they used to advertise Stove Top stuffing as an alternative to mashed potatoes... 9:59--...and how Kellogg's Frosted Flakes cereal used to be officially branded as "Sugar Frosted Flakes of Corn."
Funny that I was just thinking about the show The Return Of Captain Nemo, I remember seeing it and could not remember the name, then I see the Promo on this upload. Thanks, it was driving me crazy.
It seems like only the Christmas and Halloween specials are fondly remembered. Outside the usual Peanuts specials the other holidays don't have many animated specials to their names.
what was "CBS On The Air".. was it an anniversary special..? LOL that Peppermint Patty ad The Big Bus-wouldnt mind a remake of that movie was that Lou Rawls singing the Mounds/Almond Joy jingle..? RE:the very end..that"All In The Family" episode that was coming up was the last one that featured Mike & Gloria
I've been on the lookout for a recording with commercials from May 12th, 1984 for a long time since I was born on that date. No luck yet. I'm hoping to eventually find a recording of "Dallas" from 5/11/84...since apparently that was what most of my family was busy watching at the hospital that night before my arrival at 1 AM.
I have The First Easter Rabbit on one of my own tapes off of the Disney Channel from the 90's! (Of course, less novelty there than in this time capsule.) The special itself is Solidly Okay in my opinion.
And now let's see if we can spot any more "Before They Were Stars": Okay, in the Whistle pop commercial, that kid sitting down is a young Rick Schroeder, a couple of years before he started filming The Champ with Jon Voight. And P.J. Soles again in the 7Up ad. (Do you have her in all of your 1970s videos? LOL) By the way, the guy doing Dig 'Em's voice in the Sugar Smacks commercial was Len Dresslar Jr., the same guy who was the voice of the Green Giant beginning in 1960.
The boy in the Whistle Pop ad is *not* Ricky Schroeder. For reference, this is what he looked like in 1978: th-cam.com/video/vo9KPFXzceg/w-d-xo.html Tow headed, white blonde hair.
Love these old commercials even though I was born in the 90s I feel such a connection to these old commercials and I don't know why
God I miss this world, It all seems like a thousand years ago.
It's ancient history.
Just great - thanks for posting! One rarity in here is the Peter Paul Whistle Pops ad!
Ron Albanese Funny , that’s the one I was looking for here , had that jingle in my head for the last couple of days.
I haven't seen that ad since probably 1978 and I remember that jingle.
Timeless Commercials!
Oh man The Big Bus is a classic in the "Airplane" sort of way. Underrated.
I remember most of thsese great commercials..Thx for posting such wonderful memories..
Whenever that CBS special presentation promo hits I knew it was a Charlie Brown special which I foamed at the mouth for as a preschooler lol
Kind of sad to hear that the Charlie Brown specials have left network TV, at least for the foreseeable future.
SOOOO EXCITING!!!!!!
Happy to see a new 70s commercial video. It's been a while

Thurl Ravenscroft as Tony the Tiger, one of my favorite voice actors.

Pizza Hut was so much better back when I was growing up than today. Better toppings, and just a better pizza all around.
The checkered table cloths with lit candles on every table & elderly couples eating pizza with silverware,... thoooose wherrre the daaays!
At least I'm glad they brought back their old logo; I never cared for the modernized version.
Funny that I was just thinking about the show The Return Of Captain Nemo, I remember seeing it and could not remember the name, then I see the Promo on this upload. Thanks, it was driving me crazy.
I'm afraid the woman with the York Peppermint Patty might have scarred those poor children. She's a little too into it. LOL
Whisle pops!! I remember those days !! The best days no doubt !! =)
It seems like only the Christmas and Halloween specials are fondly remembered. Outside the usual Peanuts specials the other holidays don't have many animated specials to their names.
+Boomska316 There were actually a TON of Easter specials made back in the day. Whether anyone remembers them fondly is another thing.

LOL that Peppermint Patty ad

RE:the very end..that"All In The Family" episode that was coming up was the last one that featured Mike & Gloria
+TTrigg It was a week long series of specials celebrating their 50th anniversary: www.tvobscurities.com/articles/cbsontheair/
Always liked the York Peppermint Pattie commercial!!
I loved them ,they were so lol funny
10 minutes to another state for $1.58? Even today that's expensive.
The short lived Jack Webb half hour crime drama series "Sam" only lasted a month on Tuesday nights on CBS TV!!!!
Oooo whistle pops!
6:39 I always love a nice hot cup of coffee with my Pizza Hut pizza.........
to be 5 again 😁
Wow, spotlighting my 18th birthday here with this set. Thanks, 80sCommercialVault! Maybe I can do the same for you sometime...

4:30 I wasn't thinking of coconuts at first...
Lol! Subliminal message.
Miss going n to a pizza hut to eat
I think they still have dine-in locations, but they seem to do a lot more carryout and delivery business these days.
wonderful era
I was four wished I was old enough to disco hop
Mr. Fast and Easy -- what they called me all through high school.
Notice the sly garbage toss from the gymnast on the McDonald's commercial, how does she not miss?

Now I want 🍕

@@80sCommercialVault Oh well, I've been wrong before and will probably be again. Similar face though.
I preferred super sugar crisp to sugar smacks.
1:24 & 7:03 "Dr. Tim Johnson talks to Jay-Z Monday!"
