The center line at the bottom of the scan field is not the prop wash. If it was it would be suspended in the air like the fish. The center is the gap from the two side transducers. This is common in side scanning sonars.
Really neat, question: why is there always a channel under the vessel.
All of these videos show a channel under the boat??
Is everyone driving directly down the main channel?
Is it a glitch in the down imaging and side imaging ?
This does not seem like and accurate view of the bottom.
Although it is a 3D image, the channel is the blank spot that one would get with side imaging, directly below the transducer it is blank. Thanks.

Does the 9 inch and 7 inch have the same functions?
Thank and yes the 7 and 9 have the same functions, the units do not come with all the equipment needed to use the 3D out of the box, but can be bought later to do it.

Do you run the 3d box and td on the live or just the 3in1 td active imaging and getting 3d .
Truly I'm disappointed if that what the 3d look on new hds live unit.
No change from the carbon or gn3 . Lowrance should refresh the 3d and make it better.
Good day! with the new (Live) units there is apparently still a 3D box required all new hardware in the 3 in 1 transducer, this is just the simulation on the unit. It should prove to be much better on the water. Thanks!

Gill Chaser about the units coming with 3d sonar. I hooked my unit up and it doesn't seem to show up
@@jakrray9238 Assuming you’re unit came with the active imaging 3 in 1 transducer and you have it plugged into the correct port on you’re unit, I.E. plugged into the black 9 pin on the back of you’re unit, you must have channel 2 selected, if it is plugged into the blue port channel1 it can do side scan via active imaging 3D transducer, It CANNOT do side scan from an active imaging, active imaging 3 in 1, totalscan, structurescan or structure scan HD transducer. Also if you are trying to simulate this you must go into settings and turn simulate on, then select the correct simulation file to run. Settings/Advanced/Features turn 3D Sonar to "ON" Thank's.

Did your unit come with the active 3-1 transducer I heard that the active transducer 3 in 1 doesn’t come with 3D scan but I’m looking to get a hds live 12 gen 3 soon and would like to have 3D scan

@@danieltrott8600 To my knowledge I don’t think the new Live site or 3D transducer and electronics have been released as of yet for 2019, however I would think it will be very similar to the 3d equipment that is presently available for the carbon units. I.E. the 3D box and LSS 2 transducer. Although For me, I think I would wait to see what is released before buying because the new stuff could be that much better, why pay twice.

Yes, I did, although I oped at this time to not install the optional equipment for 3D, love this unit!
why lowrance why not Garmin or furunoo user ? do u prefer llowrance ?
Wow, I have no idea where you're coming from? I think all electronics are petty good these days, however, in my experience, I have LOTS of fishing friends and I myself have had many makers of electronics and I can tell you this; Lowrance has been the most trouble-free. The most user-friendly and there interfaces hookup and work.
I just bought Lowrance HDS live 7 and I dont think mine has the 3D image
It will produce 3D, it will require a transducer sold separately
@@gillchaser449 yes I just did some research. I just bought the unit and it came with the 3 in 1 transducer. The 3d is sold separately. 🙄
How can a person making a video decide whether all viewers will want or "need" 3d?
I was not attempting to decide for anyone, nor am I saying everyone needs it, I was demonstrating how it looks and watchers can decide for themselves if they want it or not.
