Great ideas Doug and great track as well! The resample technique you've shown here is definitely one way to encourage some new ideas! We also recommend using the new 404 mode on an aux track within your host for more control. Combine the 404 mode with another instance of Lo-Fly's default mode compression and things can get really interesting too! Overall, the key is to experiment and have fun--which you are! Thank you for showing this

In my experience with old dirty vinyl, the level of the noise seems to drop out as the music gets louder. I think this happens because the white noise from the dirty vinyl gets lost, in a dithering sort of way, into the recorded content. A sidechain effect could possibly create the same type of dynamics.
