Poor Adriana took the locomotive ala Harry Potter to go to the Church of the Synths in the desert.

After a long battle she lost many souls and she entered a state of ghostly hallucinations.

I'm glad I found the master volume at the top of the screen. I had to pull it down to -10 to stop the digital distortion!

Halion Sonic is included with free version of Cubase if you have a great Steinberg interface like I have. You can use the AU version of Halion Sonic with Logic, Luna as well. Halion is very comparable to Kontakt which can also be purchased on its own. Great free content for Halion and Halion Sonic users!
Not just in cubase! Halion sonic7 is free VST3, AU, AAX for everyone. All you need is create a free steinberg account to request the license tuto gratuito.

Dom, might you make a video on how to save presets in Halion, so that they are found under the correct instrument 'plugin'? I just can't figure it out.
For example, I am using the X-Stream and want to save presets ALONG WITH my samples (such that the samples are always available for the presets), but my presets only show under the "All Libraries" item, and I have no idea if the samples gets saved with the preset.

Good idea! For X-Stream I would suggest exporting the presets with the samples and storing it in a specific locations to keep things neat :)

Dom, may I ask how you sit this close to such big screen? I mean, aren't this adding stress on your eyes when you sit for hours?
I am also thinking to get a 55 inch OLED TV in my studio but I'll mount it on the wall a bit far from my eyes and use it for mixing and mastering. Also, I thought that multiple screens was your favorite workflow. Can you speak more about your workflow man?

Thanks for letting us know about X-Stream. I have a question though. I downloaded it and opened it up. It sounds amazing, but how do i record it? I loaded up an instance and recorded while playing like i would on other VI's, but it doesn't record.

The magic of video editing. i've seen it done before with plugins so they look like hardware synths.
Steinberg really need to stop with their shenanigans. Not before long, all my other VST's and VSTi's will be obsolete and all you need is just Cubase and everything that comes with it. Thanks!

Hi Dom I’ve been trying to get X-Stream on my iPad but it’s not letting me get it,it says for Windows and Mac not iOS ive got Cubasis 3 and some other Steinberg stuff 😊😊😊

Where do I get that vhs hoodie?
One question: Is there a standard sample folder that X-Stream automatically looks for? It would be really bad if you had to drag the samples back into X-Stream for each preset. This way you can share your presets much better.
You can set a sample folder by using the Halionsonic Browser. You can even save favourite sample folders if you want :) that’s what I did to create my presets and it was a breeze :)

Very curious, is that a 55" oled tv?
So if I just use a preset and play 1 sustained note and present that as a composition I’m considered the composer? Why not just play a Vangelis CD and voila, I’ve composed Chariots of Fire?
Nobody will consider you a composer if you play one note on any instrument 😀Many people do this out of laziness. You don’t have to do this- also, this instrument shines when you drop your own samples in :)
@@DomSigalas I can see the beauty in dropping in your own samples, but my point was that if someone had an advert to compose for and they were asked for a “10 second dystopian landscape vibe,” if they just hit a middle C and the weird and wonderful sounds from one of your presets was perfect for the job, who was the composer? I would say it was you, but in court they may argue about “use and intent.”
And as we know, Philip Glass and John Lennon composed totally silent pieces so- less than one note! (And you pay royalties if you “perform” them!) Best wishes and I’m truly grateful for your Cubase tutorials!
@@wolfmanjockthis is the art of soundesign! :) even the Mac opening sound is just one note but it’s so recognisable. Great stuff right? However, if you use an existing preset and use it as a single note composition, I agree with you , there are many ethical issues about this :)
