Greatest movie ever made. So happy to see it getting the celebration and recognition it deserves ♡ Even happier that the cast all talk so fondly of Diner and understand the impact it has had on people. Barry chose a very talented group of guys and gifted them with an incredible foundation for their enduring careers. They all seem genuinely happy and have aged very well!
I was 26 when it came out.I remember identifying so much with the banter with the guys. It seemed like a very New York Jewishy film with a lot of depth and humor.I still tear up at the still photo of the boys at the wedding. The football quiz was off the charts.
When it comes to 'coming of age' films, many would cite "American Graffiti", "Sixteen Candles", or "The Breakfast Club" as significant examples of what Hollywood's version of being an adolescent/teenager might've been like for many Americans. "Diner" (set in the year in which I was born) wonderfully captures the essence of the quirky camaraderie that we all remember having amongst the 'hand-picked' friends of our youth.

How is this 40 years already! ❤️
Diner, what movies are all about - Of course Stern, Rourke, and Barkin were invited, would have been great to see the entire cast, and Michael Tucker!
There was a lot of chemistry in this movie, being from Baltimore. It was a special movie.
Still one of my favorite movies of all time. But no Mickey Rourke? No Ellen Barkin? Jeez, Ellen Barkin!
Loved this movie definitely one to see more than once.
This was great!

So good! Everyone is so young 🌞
This is not a favorite film of mine but, man, would this have been awesome to attend. They're really fun together.

Kevin Bacon went from Friday the 13th to being a central character in the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. Good for him. It was a long haul.

How did Tim Daly not know how to hit marks with a father & sister as major actors?
A lotta water under the bridge.
Excellent movie, so good in fact, that even Steve Guttenberg couldn't ruin it.
Shame Bacon was riding an ego wave and some narcotic
