Right on John! Listen to your inner child to keep the excitement and fire, which is SO necessary as we are presented with all those little wins on our journey. I love the idea of taking life experience and applying it to a game that doesn't have anything else involved but great music, people skills/relationships and the need to serve with passion and professionalism. Slow and steady for the kill!! Thnx to you both for this inspiring chat!
Very inspiring! Thanks John, loved the comment about the fun starting the moment you made the commitment to get into sync. I’m 63, just releasing my first album and have my first mastered sync track, so very relatable. Thanks Jesse
Hey Inspiring to hear this interview. I'm 65 and hav been making music for over 40 years. With Logic Pro since the Atari time. I can do this by retooling :)
Very inspiring. I would love to hear a sample from John if it's possible... Question: how do you get someone to translate the legal jargon of a contract for you? Do you need to contact a lawyer? If so how?
You can certainly hire a lawyer if you need clarification on a contract, or what I suggest is that you just directly ask the Library to clarify any terms that you don't understand. If they're a legit company, they'll be more than happy to make sure you understand what you're signing.
If a library asked you for the name of another library that you’re in contract with, should you tell them? I didnt when I was asked because I feel like they could possibly sabotage my contract. What are your thoughts?
I don't see why you wouldn't. I've told my Library partners what other companies I work with. If you feel your current Library would go out of their way to sabotage your relationship with another Library, perhaps you shouldn't be doing business with them.
Great example for those of us who are starting down this road late in life... Thank you both, John and Jesse!
Glad this helped!
The EXACT story I need to hear. Never too old. Always felt like I was too old to produce or really songwrite
Hey Jesse, I'm 55 years old with a big smile on my face right now!
Thanks for this one, Jesse!!
