Correction for Matt. The Higgins lap record was not the first 4 wheeled record set. He beat Rally driver Tony Ponds record set in a stock Rover 827 Vitesse Fastback in 1990, a time of 22:09s at an average of 102mph. The first ever recorded to lap at over 100mph. The record stood for 21years until Higgins.

Different car but the electronic dipstick sensors are frustrating. The electronic sensor is nice for a warning but I feel like there should still be a physical dipstick as a fallback to double check the electronics.

With the tire ratio on VW/911 is due to weight, same as the brakes, that's why they are the same size. If you have to large tire with no downforce, the envelope of grip, so when you can feel it slide is smaller. When the car is on its toes is broader and being able to dip into this is the key to speed as it's predictable and you can catch it. Plus wide tires slow you down, you should only increase it if you have no grip off the line. This will be multiplied in the wet as it will aquaplane rather than grip.

I'm not the 28-3 Never Forget person, but I'm 99% sure that's about the New England Patriots coming back from being down 28-3 at the half and winning the Superbowl against the Atlanta Falcons in 2017.

It was almost certainly someone from New Orleans, forever taunting the ATL Falcons for their epic collapse. 🤷‍♂️

@@mosscamnola or New England, like me haha. I'll never forget watching that game! I don't hate Atlanta, but that was one of the greatest sports events of my life

I got to play around with the early 3D printers in a high school intro to engineering class. Then during college I spent a summer at the Oak Ridge National Lab where I was introduced to large scale additive manufacturing R&D. They 3D printed a carbon fiber AC Cobra and converted to EV. Also a whole mobile home. Pretty sweet stuff to see. Local Motors also has a manufacturing center about a mile away so you can bet they are using some of the lab’s equipment for development.

I think the electric dipsticks were also meant to keep people from trying to work on their own cars.

28-3 never forget is a reference to the Super Bowl where the patriots were down to the Atlanta falcons going in to the 4th quarter 3-28. The patriots won lol
