Living at his place for a while with relatives, one day he gave me half a crown and said. "Go to the fishermen and ask for a cod for Lala" In those days they were unloading fish two by two on a rope with a hook, hauling them up from the boat. (Across and back a bit where Yorkshire Trading is now) The trawlerman gave me a huge cod, and refused to take the money when I said who it was for !. Uncle Lala must have been very popular methinks !
They did same thing on Saltburn i remember saying its a waste of tax payers money that sea will get them a sooner or later. Not sure what happened to beach here as not been down yet .

What is new is the frequency of the severe weather were having all around the world. Whereas storms like this were rare, and here in Australia, although bush fires have always been around, they are now more frequent, and happening much earlier in the season than before.
You're paying too much attention to this wind. These are artificially induced weather anomalies to distract people from important matters. In the beginning, there were artificial epidemics, now disasters caused by plane bombs carrying chemicals and the still current haarp system.

Same thing happen in Torbay two week ago. Should have started to move them from October 1st, still on seafront 18 October when storm Babet hit.
