- One of the most incredible evenings I have ever had creating landscape photography in San Francisco. The fog was gorgeous and I even had the opportunity to shoot some milky way photos

In answer to your question, I'd say the simpler view was best. In the second photo I found myself constantly looking between the bridge and the lights to left but, for some reason, not in a pleasurable way. The first image was more harmonious/relaxing for me. Love the time-lapses! I think yours are usually the best I see on here! Cheers!

It's interesting to see different perspectives. I preferred the full waterfall photo, seeing the lights at the bottom as drips from the river of light above! :)

FINALLY THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE IS GOLDEN
I had to chuckle at your opening comments about non-photographers perceiving us as "absolutely crazy." Several years ago, I was standing in the middle of the Anza-Borrego Desert trying to capture the Perseid meteor shower at around 1:30 a.m. A sheriff came up on my car parked on the side of the county road (S-2), stopped, and turned his searchlight on. He spotted me, my camera, and tripod and must have just shrugged his shoulders and moved on. I do appreciate the fact that he was concerned enough to stop when he saw a car by the roadside in the middle of the desert, and, no, his light didn't interrupt a shot.

Less is more the last two were great but the last for me is the outright winner. The pano with the Milky way and bridge is a keeper to have two iconic images in one frame what's not to love.

Fantastic shots Michael and it was like you could feel the atmosphere with you with the foghorn going in the background. As for the two shots the minimal one is the best one for me the same as the single tower just awesome.

The Milky Way shot was epic. You captured a rare moment especially with the fog, which probably helped attenuate some of the light pollution so often generated by large cities. Well done.
I love all your images including the Milky Way shots. As for the two images it's hard for me to decide which I like best. I have to say the one that is more zoomed out showing the end of the waterfall of fog is probably my favorite. Thank you for sharing your fog "waterfall" shots!!!

Michael that was an awesome video! I would never imagine that you could see the milky way with the lights of San Francisco on the horizon. Your 1st shot of the evening of the bridge and the car lights and the pano shot of the MW and SF bridge peaking out were breath taking really great work! I prefer the minimalist photo the best.

Absolutely beautiful images, there wasn’t one I didn’t like. You changed your plan and boy did it pay off. The mixture of warm and cold tones was stunning. To witness such conditions with ones own eyes would have been incredible but to capture it so well must be so satisfying 👍🌁🌌

Fantastic Michael. We had conditions like that here in Wales recently (very rare) and I was gutted I couldn't get out with the camera. Of the two images I think I prefer the one with the extra detail in the bottom left. My favourite overall was the tight telephoto shot of the bridge tower.... that was stunning!!!

Another enjoyable and informative video Michael! I anxiously await each and every one as I just love your content and style. Of the two images I prefer the second one., although both are gorgeous. I love the fog and how it moves your eye to the fog cloud at the bottom of the hill and the way the lights are shining through it. The formation of that cloud looks magical! Thank you for the time and effort that you put into these videos.

I really like the second picture. Having lived a lot of my life in the Bay Area, I am entranced by the way the fog moves and boils.
For me is the simpler photo the better one.

This was breathtaking!! I actually enjoy the more fuller picture, as the fog is cascading almost as a waterfall crashing below. The Frame be frame for that is something I feel I will never see again!

I like the second picture where you can see the lights at the bottom of the Golden Gate Bridge. The shots made me think about the emotion that pictures can give you. I was completely mind blown in my eyes were glued to the screen. I wish I lived in an area where I can see the Milky Way myself.

I prefer the 2nd shot, since the line of clouds is more prominent, stronger....and also the fog is more _wavy_ under the golden gate bridge - it does look extraordinary.

About the 2 shots with the orange fogflow on the tower of the bridge, i find them both very captivating! So different with just a little change... the first is so calming and ethereal, while the second captures you for the absurd resemblance of a waterfall! Awesome!
Love the minimalist for he fine art feel but also the one on the right for more Golden Gate feel and a sense of being right there and being part of the fog. The very first image set that dreamy mood from front to back that I knew was coming from "Foggylenses" and I wasn't disappointed!!

But regarding your question about both fog over the bridge, my favourite of those two is most definitly the more minimalist one.

Liked both of the GG tower closeups, but the second one stands out more for me. I liked the golden amber lights of the road below exposing themselves through the fog. Thanks for the time you spent letting us all see what you experienced.
Hi Michael, love these series of images. The fire/ice contrast is simply gorgeous and the milky way capture in an urban setting like SF is just pure candy. Just stunning!
I prefer the more minimalist image, I think it works better by keeping the focal point on the tower without any distractions. The fog patterns with those incredible ripples and colors work beautifully on all the images. Love it Michael, thanks for sharing!
