I'm always amazed that no matter how steep it is, people are willing to make their home on any chunk of land that they can find. The side of that mountain must have been passed down through generations. Keep up the great adventures.
What a beautiful place to hunt in, I wouldn't get any detecting done, I would just sit and look around me. Thank you for taking us along with you, good luck 🍀 and happy hunting Mary-Ellen UK 🙋 👍
there's nothing better than discovering the lost, unfortunately i can only get out on the weekends, but when I go time Flys and im having fun, I've never been skunked always find something, thank you for recording your adventures! you're great at want you do.
Very cool finds. Check out other horse riding tracks. Can only imagine what people drop while riding. The beaches of Italy would hold a endless treasure chest. It makes us all very happy to watch your videos. Thanks for sharing.
What a nice and unforgetable adventure you have enjoyed in that part of the world, with friends and loved ones even better. I thought you where sponsored by garrett, i ask because of the omega your swinging lattley, any ways enjoyed the video and i wish you more adventures filled with treasure.
Your buckle at 9.00 is for Band-it stainless steel strapping used anywhere where corrosion can be a problem. Fire fighters use it to hold the couplings on their layflat hose.
That object you found thought to maybe a belt buckle... is a modern banding buckle.. once banding is tightened the "ears" are folded over to secure the band and then the excess band is cut off. Love your channel and videos...
The Hills are alive, with the sound of... chigg's metal detector? LOL Those horses are beautiful! So is the scenery. Cool finds. I like the fork as well as the button and coin. (My parents were born in 1922 and 23.. I'm 7th of 11 kids. Both were Marines in WWII. Dad was a tailgunner in the Japanese Theater, Mom was in the Women's Marine Corps.)
Tip/request: Maybe put the actual date of the search in a corner right at the start? Your vids do jump around a bit in time and it would help me keep my head straight. Love your vids. I watch not for the treasure, but for your keen observations of the natural and man-made world. You have a great sense of history. Keep up the good work.
Love the button Beau it's a Beaut. My granddad was a 2nd lieutenant in the British Royal Marines No4 Commandos Special Services or aka the SS. SS didn't go down well with the troops as you can guess so they had to change the name to the 4th SSB, B being Brigade. PER MARE PER TERRAM- BY SEA BY LAND....G
+Aquachigger Question how deep does your metal detector go? I know you are digging the 50-80 years top soil but can it go deeper then that? Also your videos make me want to get into metal detecting again since I enjoy learning about geography to hunt for lost treasures, I love preserving and teaching history to others when they ask.
Just thinking about your finds there, would it be possible sometime to do a mini video on how you clean these sorts of finds? I notice sometimes you rub them, other times people say DONT RUB THEM! I assume because the grit can rub details off... Just an idea..
Chigg, The place is amazing thru the camera, would have to be awesome being there. Im jealous! lol. Thanks for taking us along with you on the adventure tho. Also, you know an american can't go anywhere in the world without finding a shotgun shell / brass, Haha! Keep filming the sweet finds and have the time of your life! Congrats, happy hunting and the best of luck to all of you!
K, now I just like googling things to figure out as much as I can, so be gentle. It's catalogued to have been cast between 1814-1 8J 5-1815-1830. It's a Restoration edition of the button during the Bourbon Restoration period, so after Napoleons fall and before the July Revolution of 1830. It was forged in Paris, a golden (website's in french, might only mean a sheen) marine officer's button. i48.tinypic.com/24fdytu.jpg (forged in Paris, as seen on the back, but it might be completely worn off of the one you got!) militaria.wwii.free.fr/doc/-boutons%20fr/boutons.htm (look up words "Doré ; Officiers de Marine a* Restauration." and it'll be the one on the above left).
Hi Aquachigger. Love your videos. Just wanto to say that in Italy what ever you find does not belong to you. Everything belongs to the goverment. Even if it's on private property.. Specially if it's stuff very old like roman coins... Be carefull..
Your father was born 1919? How can that be? My grandfather was born 1917 and he was 81 years old in 1999 when he died. Chigg, either you hide your age extremely well or your dad had kids really late in life with a much younger woman. I'm closing in on 50 and my father was born in 1942. Looking at you, I wouldn't put you past 52, but you seem to have the energy of some one in their 30s.
Well it turns out the button is french. I found two polished ones in my search online. Not much on the history on it though. I'll dig further into it after supper.
Awesome finds! Unbelievable scenery! I feel the same way about the ancients, walking where they walked. It’s indescribable!

The buckle is made by Band-it. They are used with medal strapping to hold signs to round post. Like street signs.

Just thinking about your finds there, would it be possible sometime to do a mini video on how you clean these sorts of finds? I notice sometimes you rub them, other times people say DONT RUB THEM! I assume because the grit can rub details off... Just an idea..
