I love how there was a little banter in the radio chatter and one guy comes on and says, "Knock it off".
Really added to the realism. I work on a ship and there have been many nights where I was sitting on the bridge listening to radio chatter and it sounds just like this.

I heard a couple of familiar terms here. In the mid 80s, I was enlisted in the USAF, working for NORAD, as a Weapons Controller. Think "Air Traffic Controller", but with F-15s. The term "knock it off" is used when the aircrew decide to quit a dogfight and reform. And then, at 4:37:54, the term "bull's eye" is where you, as the ground radar controller, give the aircrew coordinates to a target not based on THEIR position, but based upon some pre-agreed position. Because when you tell the aircrew "target 090 for 20", the enemy knows they are "270 for 20" from him. But when you tell the aircrew "bull's eye 090 for 20", the enemy has no idea where that is.

Holy crap! I spent 26 years in the Air Force much of it doing tactical control of fighter aircraft and that's what much of this comm chatter is. AFTTP 3-1 and ALSA brevity comm. Granted what is captured in this video is training training sorties (of the 4v2, 4v4, etc variety) it is one of the few glimpses in the civlian world that reveals what part of today's fighter training sounds like. Thanks for the memories.

It's like turning on the TV when you're home-alone. You may not even be paying attention, but just people talking makes the empty space more comfortable. People are hard-coded to seek community and company, we aren't meant to be alone for extended periods of time. This translates perfectly to the emptiness of space. Radio chatter like this would be so important for a spacer's sanity, knowing they're not alone out there in the vast emptiness.

😥Oh I wish that were me flying in the spaceship right now. 😀If I were traveling through Space right now & with friends & family of the heart, it would help me be rid of the anxiety & depression issues I've been going through off & on since this past May. It would help me escape from these personal issues I've been going through. Adventures & vacation really soothe the soul.

Alpha Romeo Juliet, this is CWACS Bravo 2-7-5, callsign Orion's Eye . We have been monitoring the anomaly's activity since it passed Europa Station- carrying ore collected from Pluto and heading to Mars Station 020, it appears to be a freighter that had lost radio communication. We had requested additional local forces to scan their craft and reviewed their crew and cargo manifest and it all checks out. May be worth checking in on them once again....we've received reports of smuggling in this sector of the outer planets. Approach with caution, please advice

Ok.... I love this. I watch/listen to it every night to get try to get some sleep. 💤 I have sleeping problems... who doesn't these days?
But I am imagining I'm flying in space listening to the radio exchanges. I could be called to help at any time to help defend! Cool... but I do not know how the ship can avoid the rocks and debris. This is a planet.... I guess like Saturn with rings and we are in the ring field. But no way would we be able to miss/avoid all of these. Even with shields. Or shields that push everything out of the ships path. That would cause a chain reaction and send the asteroids/rocks out of control and hit other rocks and send them out of the rings into space s as soon as planets... 😊we never make it around the planet. Ok I know it's not real just enjoy go to sleep.... but it bothers me. It even bothers me even more that I'm so concerned about it.

My statement is that this radio chatter can be translated into a coherent conversation of a VERY unprofessional day in the army by taking all the numbered segments and slicing the audio in the direct center. You then arrange these segments according to their respective reciprocal values using the binary values of each color. Running psy ops from an AC-130 might be overkill.
