Very good guide man! Cheers! This solenoid is only related to the N16B16 Engine - Cooper late 2010 onwards (LCI) not the previous N12B16 as it does not have it. I have fault code 2F58 - Oil Pressure Control Valve Activation (Permanent) - No warning lights. Only stored in the dedicated side not EOBD side as its nothing to do with Emissions. At first when I discovered it (9/10 months ago) I was quite worried, but the oil pressure light never comes on and the car has now covered over 8000K miles without issue and always been plugged in all this time. TBH this was because I forgot about the Fault code. I am not entirely sure how it works and what its actually for, my guess is to keep oil from draining down so the next startup will be primed, if someone knows then please enlighten me ;). Thanks again for the great video!!
Very good video thankyou 😊. What exactly does it mean when the code says "line disconnection"? Is the car still ok to be driven? My topdon scanner didnt pick up the 3401 code, but my mini specialists did, but didn't really offer up much of an explanation. Thanks
I was trying to do this job at home yesterday, and wanted to cry after I realized it wasn’t as simple as I thought. When I was trying to unscrew the sprocket bolt, i heard cracking and it really felt like I was breaking something so I stopped. And then I tried to reach for the torx bolt cap and saw everything that was in the way. But this gave me motivation again, thank you!
@@allen2real just remember, everything is trivial once solved. Just take your time and keep thinking. I've been doing this sort of stuff for 40 years, I know well what you are feeling.

Cool c'est bien expliqué zero défaut
Same procedure as 3008 1.6 peugot?
Mine is fauty but i just disconnected it because its hard to remove it since its located in the mount
Did you get any engine lights with it?
How did you get torx bolt cap off, I thought the driveshaft has to come out to do that
T25 bit inside a 10mm ring spanner. Bit of tape if you are struggling to keep it in.

Do you know the torque specs to the oil chain sprocket bolt?

Hi what sort of cash do you charge for parts oil and labour . Many thanks
It’s expensive
They scam you
Who scams who?
@@Chris_CDB It's a $30 part and doesn't require the oil pump to be dropped
@@Chris_CDB how expensive?
may i know which diagnostic tool you are using ?
It’s a launch x431 pro, however it is quite out of date now days.
