I've been into these places but for me, Izakaya Shonantei in QC is one of the best dining experience I ever had. Once in a while try their Unagi Don, its one of their best dishes... hindi kayo magsisisi.
naku...ma-PR talaga yang may-ari na yan...bigla ka nlng i-ooffer ng kung ano ano for free. kaya binabalik balikan sila because of how she treats their customers
I personally recommend Shonantei. Overall, meaning I considered also the host of the resto, it's the best Japanese resto I've been in. I personally don't like their ramen coz they use buckwheat noodles and fish stock but they have other good offerings and you can't beat a good time. I recommend their Wagyu cubes paired with plum wine. Feeling niyo wala nang kulang sa buhay niyo. Hehe
@@shonantei6214 Ang ligalig niyo madam. Gustong gusto ko yung ginawa mo na may "para mo ng awa" 😂 Kasi kahit ako gusto ko kumain Japanese way, kaya i learn a lot from the video. Will be visiting Izakaya soon!
Grabe, galing ng Chef ng Marudori, she is so technical, legit chef talaga, and I also tried the Shio Paitan, the chicken was so good, in spite of it being the breast part which has the tendency to be dry in texture, the slices of chicken breasts are so nice to chew. 10/10 for Marudori.
Ipponyari my comfort food. Hindi nakakasawa yun mga pagkain like 3x sometimes 5x a month lunch or dinner during weekdays kasi kapag weekends waiting na talaga.
ive been to Shonantei before with my exbf years before the pandemic and I do recall the owners being hospitable to all the guests haha. its nice to see them featured here
I personally recommend Shonantei. Overall, meaning I considered also the host of the resto, it's the best Japanese resto I've been in. Like Ippon Yari, Shonantei is started by a Japanese - Pinay husband wife tandem. I personally don't like their ramen coz they use buckwheat noodles and fish stock but they have other good offerings and you can't beat a good time. love love loveee Shonantei! we've been going there for years already, noong nasa mindanao ave pa sila lol love u tita janet im so happy they're getting the recognition they deserve
Very nanay feels si madam sa Izakaya ah.. Hahaha! Hindi na makabanat si jujumao. hahahaha I wonder bakit hindi nakasama si Ramen nagi and Ramen Kuroda?
I’d like to correct you guys re: surface area and noodle thickness. Thicker noodles have smaller surface area contrary to the what the host said; thicker noodles are used for thicker and richer broths to balance out the noodles-broth richness ratio. Overall great video, would love to try marudori and the first one in alabang in the future
7:50 Technically, i.e. mathematically, for equal total cross section, thinner noodles would have a larger total surface area, so this is probably not the reason (“to coat a larger surface area”) why the noodles are thicker. It is likely to reduce the umay from a thicker sauce since you are biting into a thicker noodle where the inner volume is bare.
Gustong gusto ko yung last ramenan all are equally great i think since pinapanood ko lang visually may character si nanay sa dulo that makes me want to visit it first hahaha
Nako na discover na pala sa FEATR yung matagal ko nang sinisecret sa QC 😆 Been eating at Shonantei for more than 5 years na siguro. Nasa ibang location pa sila noon na mas maliit. Never nagkaron ng katapat sa Makati at BGC kahit mas mahal dun IMO Do not try their salmon, uni, gyoza, yakitori, sanma shioaki, mga donburi, wagyu cubes, scallops, etc... para di kami maubusan 😆
my favorite ramen shop is Wrong ramen. I dont know why it closed but it's similar to my go to ramen place in Kobe, Japan. The owners make fun of their own menu for not being "authentic". but if you visit Japan they have plenty of fusion ramen shops that are frequented by locals. They have an adobo ramen, carbonara ramen there, ffs. really weird combination of flavors
