And those are just the BASIC ones! There are so many others that are just as awesome.

Bro, please help me out, this is exactly what I want to do, live mixing + beatmatching. How do I connect the tp-7 to the tx-6, play a pre-recorded track from the tp-7 and be able to add effects/manipulate the sound coming from the tp-7 with the tx-6. :(

looking to get a norns + grid to partner up with my Tp-7, Tx-6, & Op1 field. Only things is i’m not too familiar with Monome products… what’s the difference between the one on the left and the one on the right? besides the fact that the right looks cooler hahaha… 😅

Hey! The ShieldXL on the left is a new version of norns shield, which used to be scaled down and have a feel diy with mini jacks. The new XL version is bigger with normal 1/4” jacks for instrument/guitar cables. The norns on the right is made by monome and is a nice heavy enclosure, slimmer, and has a built in battery and headphone jack. It’s powered with miniUSB. The ShieldXL does not have a battery (unless modded) or headphone jack, but does have very nice mechanical switches and built-in TRRS midi and is powered by Raspberry Pi’s power source. Mine is microUSB. Not sure if there are other Pi’s with different power sources. The biggest difference at this point might be price. Factory norns will run you $800-1200 depending on where you buy it. My ShieldXL was about $200 built by Denki Oto + I had to put my own Raspberry Pi in it. Hope that helps!!
