I’m shocked at how many people don’t like dark meat. That’s where all the flavor is!! 😂😂

There are tofu sheets in the vegan green curry in the frozen section. If you’ve tried that, you’ve had the tofu sheets! Use them in stir fries, soup or curry. Never seen them frozen! They are usually sold dried or fresh in the Asian markets.

What? People don't like dark chicken meat? It is delicious! It has more flavor and is moister than breast meat. You can also cook more things with it. Oh well, as long as there is no high request for dark meat, it can remain cheaply priced for me unlike expensive breast meat or wings that have been popularized by the mainstream. Thanks for the eggplant curry heads up. That is not listed on their website and looks delicious.
Things you could do with the tofu sheets (mock meat ideas)
    1. You could probably treat the tofu sheets like meat in a stir fry with veggies instead of tofu blocks or braise in prepared TJ's Chinese/Thai/Indian sauces or curries with veggies and eat with Tj's frozen jasmine/basmati rice.
    2. You could also make homemade sushi or Kimbap and use the asian spiced seasoned (from something from your cabinet) tofu as protein like the frozen vegan kimbap.
    3. You could cut it up as mock meat and season it in Mexican seasonings or blend it with your soy chorizo, and make tacos, burritos, taco salads etc with it (with whatever taco burrito toppings/fillings you desire). It could be extra protein or filling to add to a vegetarian breakfast burrito. (I hope Tim has been adding the soy chorizo to his breakfast burritos and refried beans this whole time, if not he is missing out.) The Mexican rice is a great side dish or filling for a burrito.
    4. You could make a veggie pita sandwich with the flat bread by cutting and cooking, then seasoning the tofu in a pan like mock meat with the (salt/pepper) goddess seasoning or any other mediterranean spice hiding in your cabinet. You then prepare veggies like tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, onions, olives, and dress the veggie mixture like a salad with green goddess dressing, prior to laying it all on a thin layer of hummus on the warmed flat bread or top the veggie and tofu mixture with tzatziki sauce. And if you have TJ's harissa sauce you could add it for more flavor/spice. Feta is a good topping too.
-This recipe could also apply as the filling for TJ's pita pockets. You could switch the tofu meat with the beef-less crumbs or impossible meat in seasoned meatballs/patties for that pita sandwich. Any faux meat will work, even the chicken.
-Veggies with a thicker layer of hummus for protein works as well, fresh or grilled.

Ohhh Baingan at TJ's?!!! I'm Indian and this is a very traditional eggplant dish. Baingan is Eggplant, and this dish is mashed eggplant. Def not supposed to be spicy. Eat it with Naan. Its pronounced like 'bangin bar-tha (think like the name Bertha maybe lol). I've tried other brands of this frozen and its usually watery. Its delicious homemade though!

Yuba tofu sheets are used in a hot pot then dipped in a soy/chile oil sauce. Gentle flavor if soy milk. Made by heating soy milk and when the top of the soy milk forms a skin it is lifted off and eaten fresh or dried. I have seen recipes to fry it or use in stir fry. Very healthy consumed by Buddhist priest as they are vegan . It’s delicious from Japan.

The tofu sheets are supposed to be good in stir fry, but I usually see it as a wrapper for dim sum. It's usually fried then soaked in a sauce.

I mixed tofu sheets with frozen cabbage and mushrooms (from TJ frozen section) in a skillet and served it over rice. I added seasoning. It turned out great.

for the tofu skins, i would put it in with curries, you can make any sort of dumpling filling and wrap it up and steam or braise it or fry it, add it into any stir fries. This type is very absorbent and soaks up lots of juices and has a slight chewy texture!

We usually use the tofu sheets for Chinese hotpot. Just dip in hot soup for minute and eat with some chili+sesame oil something like that (we use different dipping sauce depending on different part of China). Also we use it with salad or wrap with meat balls. I like it in hotpot, with sliced beef, lamb, shrimps tofu and veggies. Hope this gives you idea about how to cook tofu sheets 😊

It might make bread a bit drier, but I keep mine in the refrigerator and it lasts along time. I usually end up toasting it anyway so the dryness isn’t really a factor for me.

    Happy New Year, friend. 🩷
I'm so sad that the pilaf has chicken too. But I've been really into making random rice concoctions lately. Also hell yeah frozen bread. It makes me cry when bread gets moldy. I think for me it does that cuz I don't eat it fast enough bc I don't wanna run out of it. I am weird lol.
    Happy Friday 🫶🏻
(Stuff the tofu wraps with some rice, avocado cucumber, carrot, sauce of your choice! Yum.)

I bought the tofu sheets because I was curious. I followed heating instructions and when done, tried to lift a sheet off the pile of sheets. It was a fail. It stretched up, tore, etc so I obviously couldn't fill it with anything. I ended up just cutting some of it up and added it to a stir fry. I hope you have better luck than I did! The cookies are delish. I wish they weren't!!

Happy New Year! I think that basmati rice looks amazing. I saw it on the website today when I was making my grocery list. I must be in a minority because I prefer dark meat over light when I have chicken. Dark meat is more flavorful and juicier than light meat.
With the tofu sheets, I highly recommend you slice it into strips and add it to a veggie stir fry and serve with rice or your favorite noodles. The great thing about tofu is that it's bland but absolutely picks up flavor, so it makes it a very versatile ingredient for vegetarians and vegans, and people like myself that eat a limited amount of meat.

The tofu sheet already is so popular among Chinese students!! You can try mix salt and pepper and egg with ground beef/port and then warp them using the tofu sheet, heat up some oil in a fry pan and fry them until golden, then dip into vinegar. Kind of similar with dumplings. Also it's a key element for Chinese hotpot, so I assume you can boil it in water then dip into tahini (with salt)!! Let me know if you try any of them.

Well nuts, I’m trying my leave out all the sugar in my diet and what to they bring out, cookies that look fantastic. When I can get the chopped veggies I usually make a veggie soup. Tofu wraps🤔 I like tofu but I have no idea what I would put them with. The taste test is going to be interesting tomorrow. 😊

Looking forward to trying the frozen tofu sheets offering. In Cantonese we call it fu-pei when fresh and fu-jook when dried. My Japanese in laws call it yuba. I use in veggie soup (wintermelon, yum!) or in braised dishes with sauteed lamb.

Hi Katie! Happy Friday!😊 What!!! Those cookies.😊 Great way to start the haul. Looks yummy! The Pilaf looks like that would be great. Yes the shredded lettuce is perfect for the taco salads. Now I want Mexican food. 😊 I'm actually doing a gut renew shake everyday and one meal. All healthy. I'm going to do the 30 day no sugar, no bread, etc. 2 smoothie shakes you make homemade. Then one meal that's high in protein. Not sure I can do 3 meals when I eat two generally. All your items look so good. I will enjoy your taste review. Have a good night with Tim and Benson.😊

That frozen lentil and rice pilaf thing is SOOOOO good! I wish they left the chicken out too - I eat meat but the chicken in there is tough and flavorless and grisly . I found myself picking it out and not eating it. I believe that dish is traditionally vegetarian in Middle Eastern cuisine anyways
