GREAT layout nice to see a layout in a small space. We always see the huge layouts> Many of us just don't have that much room but perfer O- Gauge toy trains to HO or smaller.
That has to be one of the most beautifully crafted layouts ever . . . and it proves you don't need a monster-sized layout to showcase all the charm of O gauge trains. It's especially well-suited to the toy-like character of Marx trains and accessories. Wow, one giant doff of the cap to you, my man! What a delight! P.S. Oh yeah, and it's beautifully filmed as well!
For Christmas in 1957, my parents gave me the Allstate Electric train set sold by Sears and made by Marx. It had everything in that box to make a nice layout, many of which you can see in this video, and also you could make quite a few configurations of the tracks. I have to say it was the best present I ever got
What a Fantastic setup ! Colorful , playful .... you made it superb . You surprised me with the manual loading and unloading. Great job thank you so much for sharing.
Love the way you seamlessly cut from train to train on the wide shot. I didn’t realize at first you were swapping out trains. Those Marx lineside accessories are fun.
Wonderful, neast and compact yet lots of action and "play value". Really like that magic tunnel that reverses and changes trains. Cool video, thanks for sharing/
Ingenious! This has to be one of the greatest video displays of Marx toy trains and accessories. Cool bit of video editing when changing trains (fooled me on the first one, I thought "where was the second train hiding").
next you need a soundtrack for the crew or if it was myself that would be me, on my layouts i usually help the kids along for the views with that, kind of talking, example would be OK Joe ! slow down for the car unloading , a bit more a bit more, got it, OK, unloading car, all set Joe, next next etc. using a louder deeper voice than normal, kids enjoy that and will then learn to play the characters who run the train. great fun and a truly cool layout. especially fun when the kids imitate the deeper voice of the train crew, LO
add a little background music to the very beginning like "I've been workin' on the railroad" or some silly little bit of noise and this would be a perfect video
Excellent video TU nice vintage collection Love those MARX Train's Happy Holiday's!!!!

Nice. Love the idea of the permanent contact plates that allow for easy storage and replacement.

I love these old Marx trains the best. they have magic.
Very creative to have your trains and layout in one easily foldable table. Also nice 45 degree cut on the straight track, very clean
Beautiful trains, beautiful layout. Well-done!
Thanks for the instant replay on the car unloading. That was a feature I had never seen working before. Great layout, great room, great video..
