I love it, my nephew used to suck silk nickers for comfort, I couldn't understand why though...
Blankets have always been the best...
We was talking about the cold weather the other day and how people's kept warm in the 60s and 70s before central heating etc... tin baths and that, everyone always rough and ready, building dens and camping in homemade shelters...even dugouts in the hillsides...
Ofcourse our all time favourite which was the caves as you know...
Camouflage is about the terrain and foliage. The multicam pattern was perfect for the deserts and mountains of the Middle East and the Afghanistan. I live and hunt in Nevada, USA, and it works well here and our southwest areas, However, it doesn't work well in our green forests (maybe in the fall when the leaves change color). The Snugpak Terrain pattern is an offshoot of multifamily and really stood out in in the last green areas of England. With the higher concentration of browns, a much lower profile, meaning a lot closer to the ground, may improve your concealment.

I'll have to look it up tomorrow, see if they have a seconds shop...
I’ve never been concerned about the waterproofing of wool as it still insulates when wet, not that I ever get mine wet
