Dreamcast has higher frame-rate, better textures, better lighting and shadow, so Dreamcast wins. Still, the fact that the PSP can run this game is amazing, so I think that the PSP version is also good :)
@@SlyNine The Dreamcast "emulator" on the PSP doesn't function. It can load a few title screens maybe, and on occasion you can get some really distorted and glitchy 3D graphics out of it at like, less than 1 frame per second. So no, the PSP does not have a working Dreamcast emulator. It's simply not capable of doing that. The PS Vita though, that's another story.
The lower resolution also allows the games to run at higher frame rates. Try to make a PSP run these games at 480p like the Dreamcast did, and it simply wouldn't be able to do it at a playable frame rate.
@@mariowario5945 Well, it was a bit challenging to get those games running on PSP, since they are basically NAOMI ports. There were some definite performance hiccups in the final release, but I think at the time, we were pushing the hardware pretty hard. Though, I do feel that if we had ported the game closer to the PSP's end of life, we could have squeezed a bit more performance out of it.
@@Frostman007 is the psp more powerful than the naomi, or dreamcast? I play this game overclocked at 333mhz with the 60fps code, and there is only small slowdowns at times.
Psp will never be as powerful as Dreamcast or anything like that. And it can’t run crazy taxi 2 or crazy taxis original map. BUT it’s plays the original arcade map flawlessly and is really good for getting you better at the game on the go

Looks like a really good port actually. Didn't realise the psp had so much power.
@Mr. Y i think the PSP is more powerful than a Dreamcast , but not more than the PS2 . There is also a Dreamcast emulator for PSP
@@FugitiveGm yet in the crazy taxi version made for psp they had to lower the settings.. But somehow the emulator runs better?

The PSP is practically a handheld Dreamcast, but with a lower internal resolution to compensate for its screen crunch.

That looks like Fare Wars? That was my first project at Sega.
Yup, fare wars is the first two games
How good was the programming in this game? Did you push the limits of what can be done on the psp, or was there still room for optimization?

@Paul Bell I worked at Sega, but Sniper was comprised of co-workers and friends I previously worked with at EA, so we all knew each other very well.

Psp doesn’t have to be as powerful as a ps2 when it plays at 360-480p lol
Fare Wars was a pretty good port. Especially when played on PC via PPSSPP you can make it run at 60fps and it's a lot like the originals
sorry but the split stereo audio is annoying couldn't finish the video using headphones
lol Just turn the volume on the video down, then.
Bien verga esta que le subas el brillo al dreamcast
En que momento se pudo emular dreamcast en psp?
