Great timing on a Cragganmore video! I just purchased a single cask offering from the SMWS August outturn yesterday, cask 37.138. Interesting story for me on this bottle. I was able to taste it at the member room in London back in March and it was amazing. One of the best whiskies I’ve had this year, but I was bummed out that they didn’t have any available for purchase so I left empty handed. Fast forward to yesterday and when I clicked the email from SMWS I saw this bottle that looked remarkably familiar, checked the photos I took at the member room and immediately purchased it. Looks like they are down to 18 bottles left today, but I can’t bring myself to spend the money on a second. Great video! Keep up the good work!

Though admittedly good at 40 ABV, cask strength Cragganmore, whilst rare, is outstanding. Honestly, for the love of six more points.

Haven’t seen the crag for a long time but back in the day I had the 12. But that was when I was just getting into whisky. I’d like to find one to try it out again. Cheers sir 🥃

Glad you reviewed this. It's not the 40% ABV that puts me off as much as the price. Feels like gambling when there's no local joints where I can try this first.

Hi Erik,
Thanks for this reviewing the Distiller's Edition. I like the 12 year old, to but I prefer the Distiller's Edition due to the portwood influence.
Yes, the spiceness is superb and I am totally with you that Cragganmore is superior to other whiskies with only 40 percent abv. I wish that DIAGEO would increase the abv up to 46 percent and go back to an age statement.
In the moment I am looking for a version from an independent bottler.

Tried samples of these Diageo '22 DE. Laga was decent, rest incl. this one nothing to remember Crap. 🤷‍♂️👍😁🥂🙋🏻‍♂️
