  • Museum volunteer and past museum president David Mountenay gives you an introduction to one of our more difficult restoration projects: The Canadian Military Pattern ( CMP ) Heavy Utility Personnel ( HUP ) wireless truck. This vehicle built during the Second World War in Oshawa will be fully restored and operational at the conclusion of the project.
Meet the team, learn more about our restorations, have a look "behind the curtain" at Canada's largest Tank and Military Vehicle museum.
This is a very difficult time for museums around the globe. You can support our museum by following us, making a tax-deductible donation or visiting our online gift-shop.

I remember seeing rows of CMP trucks for sale in Belgium in 1963. With their distinctive No 13 utility cabs. They now embody the efforts made to win World War 2 to me. Bart would be proud of you guys and thanks from a Brit for the transport vehicles you provided. This may be just an officers taxi but, the whole range was effective in so many fields. No transport, the guns don't go bang. No recovery crane, all is lost.
