Twic County Commissioner visited Majok Noon after cattle raiding by armed criminals from Unity State

  • Twic County Commissioner, Hon. Simon Aguek Chan visited Majook Noon, following the cattle raiding by armed criminals from Mayom County who attacked and raided five cattle camps last night in Abaping Noon, Majook Noon Boma, Aweng Payam, Twic County.
    Commissioner Chan said the suspected armed men believed to be from Mayom County, Unity State were dressed in the South Sudan National Army’s uniform and attacked and raided five cattle camps.
    Chief of Noon Community, Sultan Manoon Ater Guot said all cows raided in five cattle camps were recovered. However, three people were wounded and several cows were also injured during the recovery process.
    Local residents described the attackers as well-trained armed men from their techniques of shooting and the way they attacked the cattle camp.
    The attack happened at 1:00 AM local time and cattle were recovered at 6:00am by Twic armed youth after six hours of the deadly fighting.
    Abaping Noon is a village located deep in Majok Boma, Aweng payam, Twic county of Warrap state.
