I am generally a purist when it comes to scale models of iconic vehicles. Thus, for the most part, I am weary of alterations that deviate from the classic recognizable looks. However, even *I* can't deny that this mod looks absolutely sweet and has a ton of class.
Did the PVC trick years ago myself. Randy nailed this. Good color combo too. Spring over axle swap, tires, wheels,.. its what a weekend trail guy would do with his 1:1. Excellent video
pinkze he say " truly your channel is fantastic, real honest FUN reviews and your passion for Rc really shines through. I love the music in all your videos and your style "
Okay I’m hoping to get a little more info on how you did the wheels. What part of the wheel did you actually cut the face of it? I just don’t wanna mess up my wheels but I really want to do this modification as I really like the wheels. Thanks for all the great inspiration 😊
Q: I BOUGHT ONE! But...*how are the caps on the front hub removed?* It looks like the caps are held by friction, including the six struts about the circumference of the cap...but my car's caps aren't popping off with gentle pressure. The six screws appear to be for the hex, so unrelated. Do I just need to push harder? ...or twist it harder?
Awesome man congrats!! That mod is exactly what they would do in the old times. Where do you buy your figures? I really like how real they look those action figures? Which brand are they? Thanks
I have to say I wasn’t that impressed with the stock one for $350 looked more like a $200 vehicle to me. Your friend did wonders with it now it’s cool looking. Doesn’t sound like it cost that much to upgrade it.
I have this vehicle. One sixth scale is my primary hobby, RC is extra. I paid 300 for mine. 300 doesn't go far in the sixth scale hobby these days... Especially when static models of Humvees are running you like 1500+, a die-cast Iron Man 400+, boxed modern military figures 200+, nude dolls with no head for kitbashing 60+.. You get the idea, 300 was a steal for this.
I love the look of the modified one but I can’t justify spending that much on it & then doing all that work & still needs major upgrades but will always be very limited. Seems like the price should be more like $175 or $200. The terrain you can use it is pretty limited. I’m sure it’s fun to a certain point. And the steering is the worst I’ve ever seen! Seems to me you kind of tore into the Marksmen pretty good & this one didn’t say a lot about the steering & where’s the fatal flaw steering test! Maybe there in just a different category. Seems more of a shelf queen then anything. I’d spend my money on a real crawler or trail truck & pretty much would have to be a rich man before ever buying it. I’ll stick to my final flawed Marksmen thank you very much!
There is a youtube channel called (Fab Rats) he actually building a real Suzuki Jimny. Check it out. Hes using bigger axles & motor ⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡ and he building a custom toyota too
These changes are exactly what this rig needed! The slightly extended wheel base looks great.

The others with a PVC!
Hopefully in the future, if (FMS) make this for high lifted crawling and mods, it looks perfect! (B+)
Exactly
