You should have a look at Danny Huynh's channel and see how he makes his annimatronic 1/6 scale figures Gavin,he's made some awesome rigs with drivers that move using servo's,that rig is crying out for a scale driver,or maybe even an action man figure would look awesome😊

Looks like you could do something full scale guys do to lift their trucks by flipping the axle under the springs. That and removing a few leaves may help.

Great video very informative. Thanks for the tip on the front signal light buckets. I ordered the truck I will be glueing those on mine when I get it and probably doing something about the spare tire as well.

Great video and review Gavin. I love my Jimny. Luckily I already had a battery and charger already. I also have a suitable driver and passenger for it.

Gavin. Design yourself a little elasticated foam cover for the transmitter steering wheel. You can use it on all of your transmitters and have your logo on it. No more annoying hard plastic.

That is one awesome looking trail truck/jeep, and it goes pretty well too by the look of it. Would I buy one? Probably not, but I can see the appeal of it, but I'm more of an on-road guy. Great video as always!!

I had a reel one of these back in the late 70/s and they were a soft top with canvas clip-on doors that just lifted on and off. I also had offroad mags and wide tires and that thing would go anywhere and if they do get bogged you just get out and pick the back up and shift it across and off you go. They are really light in the back. I just got my 1/6 scale today and am looking forward to trying it out but like you said it is screaming out for some mods like fats and off-road mags.

It’s crying out for a Matt paint finish and a driver figure. Would an action man or similar kids action figure fit?

I think if you get the right program card you can adjust the drag brake. Great video mate and the jeep looks awesome.

@@AsurasWrath164 yeah, going by google that model of ESC comes in 2 versions a crawler and normal brushed version, neither support programming cards. As that is the crawler version the only way option you have is to change to boat mode which will disable the drag break and limit the reverse throttle to 25%.

You should do a show about what’s better with Tamiya xb or Tamiya kits

Tamiya XB is basically a factory built Tamiya kit that's RTR.

Someone will 3D print doors and a proper cabin/roof. Modders dream come true.

It’s cool, but pick up an Axial SCX6 if you want to experience a proper large scale trail truck. It’s an absolute blast. Haven’t touched a 1/10th truck in weeks now.

Great video (as always). Seems a bit clunky to me but as you say it needs some major detailing and a driver. It has a it place but not for me.

Yes it's crying out for a driver, perhaps a D.I.D 1/6 military figure, an Action man or, if you want to push the boat out, a Hot Toys figure.

Now where is my old Tonka Toy, I have a spare motor and servos ??!! Think you would be better throwing your money at a Roc Hobby WWII willys jeep, much nicer. However beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that garb !

The Roc Hobby WWII Willys does look cool. I haven't had one so I can't say myself.

Not my cuppa tea...(not fast enuff😉) but i can see the appeal, with some mods a driver figure and a bit of weathering could be good👍

    • @RCKickschannel
      @RCKickschannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yep not for everyone. I'm trying to add more content from all pockets of RC interest. It's funny as I like my 1/10th buggies most of all ,but adding road cars, mini crawlers, a truck and budget RTRs have really opened me up to different RC experiences. I hope to add some planes, tanks and helicopters next year.
