This is Monaco. Monaco is really small so housing is really expensive. You wouldn’t be able to buy/build a mansion in Monaco since it is really small (not enough land to build large house/mansion). Just a small 1 bedroom apartment is already $1M+. However, Monaco is a tax haven country/micro-state, it attracts a lot of rich people.

You have to go. I worked on cruise ships so spent 3 months visiting Monaco once every 10 days. It's breathtakingly beautiful.
be sure to go around the time of the Cannes film fest, just up the road, with Pizza in St Tropez, staying in a tent in Nice, one street over and be there for the Grand Prix. Turn on Radio Monte Carlo and with a bit of luck you'll hear Frank Zappa's Catholic Girl on the radio, as we did in '84. (bummer about the rain on race day dude, but that's that god for ya...)
