  • Description:
Welcome to our exciting two-part series showcasing the transformation of a charming tiny house cabin nestled in the picturesque woods of Kentucky's Bluegrass Region! In this first video, join us as we embark on a budget-friendly design and functionality makeover journey.
Our adventure begins with a thorough cleaning of the cabin, ensuring a fresh canvas for our creative vision. We then treat the exterior with Penofin penetrating oil finish, enhancing the natural beauty of the wood while providing long-lasting protection against the elements. To add a touch of rustic elegance, we paint the trim with the warm and inviting Benjamin Moore color, Country Redwood.
As we step outside onto the cabin's deck, we start curating an inviting outdoor space using furniture we had at our home and in storage. Watch as we transform this cozy nook into a relaxing oasis, perfect for enjoying the serene woodland surroundings of the Bluegrass Region.
If you're passionate about tiny homes, and cabins, or simply love DIY design and decor, this video is part of my ongoing creative life journey! Please subscribe if you're interested in seeing more content and ideas.
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we'll delve into the rest of this fun makeover of this delightful tiny house cabin!

Awww thank you! Yes totally, I think I have been too inconsistent for the ever elusive “algorithms”, but it’s all good… quality over quantity. I’m so grateful people are inspired and that means the most. 😊

The Penofin is MAGICAL! Does it keep the wood that color once it dries? It’s so gorgeous!
Do you plan your projects out ahead of time or create as you go?
Super excited to watch this transformation- it’s already lovely!

Love it! That view is incredible and I can't wait to watch the transformation! I only wish that you wouldn't swing around so fast and that your camera was steadier. Thank you for taking along on your projects. :D

Ooooo I can’t wait to see everything else you’ll be doing to this little slice of heaven! I’m a little confused. Is this your place or are you helping out the owners and you’ll have access to the space? What a great place. What’s up with the other little cabins? Are they neighbors or have then been built on the same property as rentals? I want the scoop!
You friend certainly has a talent for naming things. 😊❤️
I noticed you treated & painted over spots of green (algae?) on the wood. I painted my wooden porch steps last year. I did everything right. I scraped and found green patches under the wood. I figured it was from moisture trapped under the peeling paint. So after scraping I waited a few days to let the sun do it’s job. Then I used a quality primer and some rather spendy paint made for porches. The next spring & after a very snowy winter, the paint is peeling like crazy. ☹️ I hope my experience is unique. I’m going to replace the boards with composite decking & be done with it!

Oh my goodness that was fantastic to watch. What a beauty you found. I do have a question, how did you find it? did you do a search on Zillow? I have been looking for a few years for a little cabin and have not been able to find one. I can't wait to see what you do with your gorgeous cabin
