    If you don't like the pricing of her designs then don't buy it.
    People who lash out on her probably wouldn't have a disagreement on how much a painting in a gallery would cost coz they believe that's art and fashion is not. When a designer reach a certain artistic level her design could be art too.

      And viviennes designs are real art. They arent like other designers nowadays that create clothes that look unwearable. Vivienne makes all her clothers look wearable and not outrages looking. I feel the prices are reasonable. Theres so much history behind her brand

      I love Vivienne Westwood and her fashion I would rather buy something from her and wear it a lot and make it last then a £5 t shirt that you wear once and throw it away because it's poor quality

    Love most of her clothes. Love her perfume. I agree with the lady. Buy less. Buy well and make it last. I think she was referring to clothes not food.

    Over the years I've bought clothes that seem to be indestructible and I can't see the point in discarding anything unless it's unuseable
    or it doesnt fit or it doesn't look good on me. I dont think there's such a thing as fashion anymore. Its a case of anything goes. Each person creates their own fashion persona.

    Nothing she says in this video is in any way offensive to anyone, so I wonder why people in the comments continue to lash out in offensive slurs and and call her names. Literally everything she does is promote progressive ideas and the concept of not wasting every single fucking thing we have on this One planet we inhabit.
    Please, tone down your fucking ego for once in a while and think before vomiting onto the comment section. Thank you.

    let's reject ties - tons of synthetics and natural fibers produced for decoration...let's reject nail polish - tons of harmful chemicals every year.
    have to start somewhere, so it might as well be the easy stuff - and the stuff wh/ makes a public statement.

    So she doesn't want fracking in her country but rather have it done in countries where there is no regulation for the fossil fuels they get imported in their country.

    Someone selling 300quid t shirts preaching against capitalism. Only in the Guardian

    • @jfreeman2047
      @jfreeman2047 3 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      That's the point. But VW doesn't sell £300 T-shirts. However, her clothes are viewed as expensive in a world filled with cheap fast fashion. £5 T-shirts that destroy the environment, employe slave labour and last less than a year before they are cast into landfill, subsequently taking 1000 years to breakdown, polluting as they do.
      Let's say you buy a white £5 T-shirt and you replace it 100 times in your lifetime? Compared to a VW T-shirt that costs more upfront but will last a lifetime if you look after it. All of a sudden the figures don't add up...
      You have a skewed view on capitalism.

    Fossil Fuel is not running out. 200-400 year supply that is known. Oil, coal, shale, more as technology advances. Capitalism is what drives food production, drug research, international trade, defeating poverty, hunger, disease. Free Market Capitalism is what has allowed humans to thrive. I get a kick out of these wealthy communists. Amazing really.
