In our schools rote learning alone is given much importance and sports is kept apart! Rarely parents pay attention to sports related issues. Above all these few get chances to do well in sports especially team events like cricket. Mentality should change.
Schools don't really care about sports. Only the results of board exams matter to them as they can advertise it to get more enrollments. I think the government should encourage schools to produce more athletes by introducing some benefits. Let's hope things change in few years.

In my school we get only two Pt periods in a week. And that too is taken by our social science teacher at the end of the year when the exams are close because she never completes the syllabus on time.

Regarding her 'belly', she has been in the sport for over a decade now, neither her seniors nor her coaches asked her to change. They know better than us. 'Other players look fit', the first attempt was taken by a Chinese. She had a 'bigger belly fat' , maybe it's a requirement, maybe. Watch men's final too, there too you'll find a few 'belly' men
