India's national record holder Neeraj Chopra qualified for the men's javelin throw final after throwing a distance of 86.65m in his first attempt and finishing on top of the ranking table.

Neeraj Chopra has been India's best track and field athlete in awhile. The guy has been constantly breaking and bettering national records pertaining to javelin throw in last few years. Its a pity that as a country we are too much involved in cricket and thus athletes like Mr. Chopra doesn't get the due publicity he deserves.
