He was the Prototype for how to be a Winger! Fast, skillful and def one of the best delivers of a ' Cross' in World Football, let alone Englist Div 1!

A true gem of a player, pinpoint crossing with both feet. One of my favourites. Good luck David.

Skilled, super fast and totally genuine. I saw quite a lot of Rangers in the 70s. I was a lucky man.

I often view their 70’s games on here and Big Match Revisited, a joy to watch. I see Dave occasionally and he talks fondly of his days at Loftus Road.

Watched Dave play for Burnley against my team Birmingham City back in 1971 the best winger I ever watched could have been a regular in the England team.

He was a great player but John Robertson from Forest just pips him for me

Best Winger I`ve ever seen in 50 years watching football from 1970 to 2020.

QPR shot themselves in the foot by selling him to Everton at his peak. They made the same mistake soon afterwards, this time selling Phil Parkes to West Ham. QPR declined quickly after the mid-1970s, but is it any surprise when you offload your best players?

Being a small club they have & always will sell on players. The team they had mid 70's was a great chance to press on but ..... 1st game at Rangers mid 70's v Burnley 1- 0 Thomas goal. Good old days.
