There will never be characters like the 1960's /1970's players. Best, Bowles, Worthington, Hudson, Marsh, Osgood etc.
Dave Thomas was outstanding in our best ever team.
Always lovely to see Dave Thomas at the Bush,I’ve been watching football for over 50 years now and never see a better Winger than DT ❤
so proud of being in the Loft throughout the 70's and having the possibility of admiring these great players, miss you Stan ❤.
Stan was a magnificent football player, a real star. And Gerry is still highly regarded over here at Bristol.
A very touching occasion. The club get these sorts of things so right these days.
Stan Bowles and QPR during that period changed English football.
RIP Stan
Dave Thomas probably the finest winger of his generation….sublime skills in an era where skill and guile were a small commodity
Lovely that players from the best ever R's team made this tribute to Stan. My heart goes out to Dave Thomas, a great player, who is coping with the sight loss. Good luck Dave!
Great performance by the current team v WBA. RIP Stan, one of our best ever! COYR's.
So sad to see dave thomas struggling with his eyesight, fantastic winger back in the day. Can still picture those socks round his ankles 👍
What a fantastic player Dave was
Electric down the wing
Never appreciated at international level even though he was definitely good enough
Legends all of them
Dave’s glaucoma has forced him to change his routine but he still maintains his garden, strides through our town and revisits places like LR. He remains a very positive figure and a great bloke to know.
He sounds a very humble bloke, the majority of footballers today could do with taking note.
Was a 13 yr old Leeds fan remember QPR pushing Liverpool all the way and in my shoot magazine - 60 still Leeds Legends who never got the credit stan - Rodney marsh - Tony Currie - Alan Devonshire - Gordon Cowans
really lovely tribute, so much respect for that 76 Team that should have won the league. they did win it with unbelievsble football. I live near Stan's home in MCR and there's lots of MCFC that follow the 'R's. His team mates are as amazing as the football they played. God Bless you and all at Loftus Road and I hope you are back where you belong soon.
Frank McLintock looks great at 84.
Love ❤❤❤
Loved all these Qpr players and always will. Sending lots of love to them all ❤
That side could rip the best in the country to pieces with total football on probably the worst pitches we have had
Pure talent Stan was sprinkling of magic that make very good sides great
💙🤍🙏
We all remember the skill and goals but surely one of Stan's greatest moments came when he shot the table in Sporting Superstars!! Admit it-you're rolling around laughing at the memory!
