This was my first PJ show. I was in the 12th row, so when the crowd from the lawn section flooded the front, I stood on my seat to see over them. That only lasted a short time, because the pressure of other people's bodies started to close the fold-up seat. I had to get away quickly to avoid falling inside the two halves of the seat. The seating area to my right had been mostly abandoned, so I stood on a seat there and enjoyed the rest of the show. Curiously, not one of the four PJ shows that I saw when I lived in New England is on youtube: This one, Mansfield '98 Sept 17th, Mansfield 2000 August 30th, and the "Boston Trilogy," which was also at Mansfield. I think I attended the second show.
Wow! It was also my first show 24 years ago today! I was 16 years old and I equate it to a spiritual experience or religious and I’m neither spiritual or religious. I too am always looking for footage from this show to no avail!
I was in 16th row in pavillion. Early in the show, some dude decided to take a leak on the floor in the row behind me, and it splashed my legs and flowed down into our row. I quickly dispatched him to the lawn. Then, later in the show, a wave of pepper spray came down into the pavillion.. Eyes burning, Good times!! great show.
Hahaha i was at this show too. Pepper spray everywhere. Was insane. Saw them in maine for first time ever a few weeks or a week before. I was in 4th row at this one. Meadows. Whole lawn ended up in isles up front lol
