Adam does so much in the mix and overtracking I'm impressed with the sound you got here
Same here!
Sound like Rammstein, both by and without busting please
MY BLOODY VALENTINE PLEASE!!!!
i thought that said Bullet For My Valentine there, R I P to me
William Allison don't worry about it, it would be interesting to see them a shoegaze one :)
matt catling yess
i mean My bloody valentine as in shoegaze/indie band not that metal band called bullet for my valentine.
Can we talk about that bass tone for a minute? Like, holy shit. I didn't even pay attention to the guitar when the bass was going.
Very informative I like the mimic stomp
Sounds like MESHUGGAH! Put the 'Fro in his element.
sound like Buckethead!!!
Manuel les paul custom, Mesa dual rec/mini rec, digitech whammy, crybaby
Anakin Hunter And superhuman skills
yeaaaah
The key detail they forgot to sounding like Tool is actually playing the songs correctly
Jesus WHAT AN AWSOME VIDEO!!!!!
Guitar: Lp
Amps:
Fender Bassbreaker15 & Laney Cub heads/combos with matching cabs for both
Pedals:
T-Rex Comp Nova
Tumnus
JHS AT+ (v2)
Boss BF-2
Maxon AD-9 Pro
Wet/Dry, delay to one amp only. Maybe a comp/limiter after the gain.
Done.
Parabol was spot on. Lateralus was very good. I think the bass was just a touch too crunchy though
I really disagreed about how well you guys got this, thought it didn't really sound as solid as it could have... until I heard the Parabol and Lateralus bits. Damn. Dead on.
On another note, while I know you guys typically do all this stuff by ear, and I have no reason to hate a lot for that reason, as someone who has played several of those songs for quite a few years, it kind of made me cringe how wrong a couple of them were....
Great job!! You guys got very close. But basement GAS nailed the Tool tone on his 4 Ways to Sound like Adam Jones from Tool video in his first and most expenxive, gear wise, demo. You two are far better players than he is!!!
I agree!
Love that LP Custom!
Nailed it! hell yeah guys.
