Naksan Mountain or Mount Naksan (lit. "Camel Mountain") is a peak, 125 metres (410 ft) high, in the Jongno-gu district of Seoul, South Korea. The mountain is well known for the panoramic views of downtown Seoul as is Namsan.
The mountain and its surrounding area is Naksan Park, which is a public park maintained by the city government from 2002. The park was used as the filming location for some dramas.
The Dongdaemun Design Plaza, also called the DDP, is a major urban development landmark in Seoul, South Korea designed by Zaha Hadid and Samoo, with a distinctively neofuturistic design characterized by the "powerful, curving forms of elongated structures". The landmark is the centerpiece of South Korea's fashion hub and popular tourist destination, Dongdaemun, featuring a walkable park on its roofs, large global exhibition spaces, futuristic retail stores and restored parts of the Seoul fortress.
The DDP has been one of the main reasons for Seoul's designation as World Design Capital in 2010. Construction started in 2009 and it was officially inaugurated on March 21, 2014.[1] It is physically connected to Seoul Subway via Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station on Line 2, 4 and 5.
The Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) was designed by British Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, winner of the 2004 Pritzker Prize, with the concept of "Metonymic Landscape." Metonymy refers to a method of describing a specific object indirectly and, Hadid integrated historical, cultural, urban, social, and economic aspects of Seoul deduced from this method in order to create a scene of the landscape. Designed as a cultural hub in the historical district of Seoul as well as Korea's largest fashion district, the DDP is composed of undulating surfaces that resemble the flow of liquid and allow flexibility in space. The state-of-the-art BIM (Building Information Modeling), mega-truss (extra-large roof truss) system, and space frame system are the key features in terms of creating grand-scale spaces. According to Hadid, the fundamental features of her design were "transparency, porousness, and durability."[2] Many ecological features, double-skin facade, solar panels, and recycling water system are included in the building.

This makes me want to visit South Korea again. I went to Naksan Park and Ihwa Mural Village back in February. I saw the house where K-dramas The Doctors and Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon were filmed. In real life the house is a museum/shop.
Oh, that´s excellent. I´m alone in the office. So I can watch it on the big screen (nearly 4 meters).

10:30 this is why I love Seoul so much, just the little pockets of spaces that they utilize so well to look and feel so aesthetically pleasing and comfy.

This is the area I stay in whenever I'm in Seoul now. Though I never made it up to the top of Naksan. Add this to my list. The wall is beautifully lit up at night too.

Good morning, Nathan! Honestly, last night I took this walk until you probably put the jazz music, the point where I lost you falling asleep so peaceful and happy. Yesterday's Seoul, today's Seoul! I remember my first walk around the walls of Naksan a year ago, on a full Moon night, if I'm not mistaken. Today you gave us such a beautiful sunset over a panorama of the city, unforgettable. And the charming neighborhood with walls with murals, so beautiful and the area with houses placed in terraces. Surely one of the reasons I love Seoul is because it's in a mountain area. Here, within the ancient walls lies,, the cradle" of your capital? Is this the most ancient place? But the amazing construction, like a flying saucer seems from other coordinates! Sometimes you as a nation seem to come from another planet, somehow a better and more beautiful place! Thank you for the ride! I keep falling in love with Seoul! That makes me happy! Be happy! 💜

지금도 동대문근처 야경등 거리 풍경이 멋있지만 예전 서울(동대문)야구장, 종합운동장(축구장)있던 시절도 좋았죠 오징어땅콩 사들고 신나게 자기가 좋아하는팀 응원하는 모습도 좋았구요
근데 난 솔직히 가고만 싶고 티비에서만 봤지만요 ㅎㅎ
서울워커님 제가 장소하나 추천할께요 언제 한번 예산 예당호 출렁다리(충남 예산군 응봉면 후사리 448번지 일원) 촬영하시죠
호수를 따라 400m출렁다리와 느린호수길 5km데크산책길이 있어 왕복으로 두시간정도 소요됩니다
출렁다리 주변에 음악분수가 시간대별로 가동(밤에 보면 더 좋음)되는등 즐거운 산책길이 될겁니다.
요즘같이 어수선한 시대에 영상보며 마음의 안정을 찾습니다.^^

Just wanted to say, thanks for uploading HQ walkarounds of Seoul that I used to search for. Seoul, specifically Hongdae and Sinchon is where me and my friends around the world get to meet, eat, play and explore. Each opportunity I got to travel there from Canada has made me miss the city even more! And when Im feeling bored or nostalgic, I watch your walks around the areas and stores we frequented near our AirBnb. Thanks for recording these walks that bring back memories and cheer me up!

What a beautiful place people just out for the evening enjoying themselves, I love this time of the evening it's so calm and peaceful I would love to paint that sky and looking down on the city lights was breathtaking and as you get down it all changes but it's still beautiful, and I liked the piano music, thank you Seoul Walker .wow the the building at the end that curves around and the lights go on and off clever designing and those stairs that are all lit up such a beautiful city , 🇬🇧🇬🇧
