Bob was the greatest. You should be proud of those paintings, James; the mountains in that one you held up were fantastic.
The thumbnail is 3 beautiful people looking at each other...
Watching ross paint is an absolute joy at the end of a long day. Im glad to see so many people still out there watching bob paint. It makes us all a little happier.
"There's no mistakes: Only happy accidents...".
--Bob Ross.
I remember having a conversation almost exactly like this with a friend many years ago. You are convinced one moment that he has ruined his art with a misplaced schmear--then boom! A masterpiece.
You know, for the guy who plays a character yelling ass, your 11 year old self really had some artistic skills under his belt.
One of my top 3 videos that you've made here. Used to love watching Bob Ross as a kid, and still enjoy the reruns just as match all these years later. Super relaxing.
I checked to make sure it wasn't April Fool's. Knowing its genuine warms my heart because SAME.
Edit:
Holy CRAP don't be so hard on your 12-year-old artist self! Those're great!
The man who made painting that’s quite difficult look so easy.
What a nice tribute to a wonderful TV personality. Thanks for showing us your old paintings as well, James. This is the kind of content that keeps me coming back to Cinemassacre. You're a beautiful soul.
Imagine Bob Ross yelling at you: "DROP AND GIVE ME 20 HAPPY ACCIDENTS!!!"
He was a drill seargent for a period of time
That made literally laugh. Thanks.
Now I want you to beat the devil out of it!!
Bob is one of my heroes, too. :) truly a great man. His show is calming. It makes the heart happy. :)
Yes especially when you’re presumably smoking pot, no offense that I assume that about you. Ok?
I don't smoke at all lol. I've got asthma.
Bob Ross was a personal hero of mine too, here in Costa Rica they used to air his show when I was a kid and a lot of people loved it. He was part of what made me pursue arts for a living. Thank you James, and specially... Thank you Bob.
And with that, James reminds us that there are still some very positive, bright spots in this world. Thanks James.
DUDE, James, the painting you held up is damn good!!!
This is a great episode. My parents would watch Bob Ross after work back when the show was on TV. I watched the show as a kid and was and still am wowed by his ability to stay calm when on camera and his talent. The show is a relaxing escape from a busy stressful life. Thank you Bob Ross.
When ever I was home sick from school in the late 80s. Bob Ross would be on.
I envy you for growing up A) in the 80s and B) in the US. I was born in the UK about ten years later than I should've, and I had no idea this man ever existed until I saw Family Guy.
I'm so glad you did a Bob Ross episode I love that guy I've been watching him since I was a little boy they have every episode of The Joy of Painting on TH-cam and it's phenomenal thanks for doing this video James
I recently got into Bob Ross myself, it's so relxaing to watch. I get really bad headaches and just watching him and listen to him talk actually helps :)
4:30 HOLY SMOKES DUUUUUUDE!
