Nik: "How low can you go, bro!?" Sean: *hold my limbo bar* This song fkin rips dude. The ending of it is so damn dirty. They can't make a bad song, I swear
A lot of people saying they don't like/don't know how to feel about the chorus. I guarantee you, this is gonna be one of those songs that gets better with every listen as you get more and more used to the chorus.
I guess I'm in the minority with you there dude. I loved this chorus from the first listen, and that hasn't changed in the subsequent listens for me at all
When I hear that chorus I always imagine a siren softly singing to a man that's holding on that small piece of wood keeping him in the surface, and she's stretching out her hand to him, inviting him to reach the abyss together
Yeah it was like - “Oh we need a signing part” and they just chucked it in. But unfortunately it takes away from how brilliantly heavy a be moving the rest of the song is. Bands do it all the time and it is clumsy. In saying that I love the song but yeah just not like her vocals.
Your reaction is why I love this band, their sound is so unique. Beautiful and gut-punching heavy, just always makes me think of light and dark. like the sun is rising and setting throughout the song.
Dylan James Hudson nice! Was just scrolling through to see if anyone beat me to it! Take my upvote! I’ve posted this song on two other reaction videos of his. I know reaction videos aren’t his main focal point but I hope he does it soon. He’s gotta know about it this song.
I was startled by the chorus at first. But ohmy it just grew on me so fast. I love the contrast and the "holy" kind of vibe it has(or whatever nik used for a word.)
Dude, I've been in a shitty low depression all day, and nothing has even so much as made me smile, let alone laugh, until watching your reaction to the outro of this song. Thank you for pulling me out of my darkness with great music and funny reactions.
Actually I love the whole song, exspecially the chorus, despite it´s getting much dislike. It gives their song such a uniqueness and fits perfectly into, what the band has done lately (imo). Songbeginning and Breakdown in the end, I don´t think I have to mention... breathtaking georgeous!
Dont know about you guys but i see people saying shit about the chorus seeming somewhat out of place, but as someone who's been listening to metal for decades, i fucking love these surprising changes that make them suffer bring to the table. I'm bored of predictability. These guys break the predictable every time. Love this shit!
When i first listened to this i HAD to fucking see your reaction to this song, it really is such a unique song and that fucking breakdown caught me sooo off guard. Either way im so pumped for the new album.
I suggest giving Solence a try. They aren’t really metalcore or anything, more electronic. But they are awesome and release so many great songs so often. A new single comes out tomorrow (I think) called Blackout. I recommend Spit It Out, Heaven, Animal In Me, or 4 Good Reasons.
Dude, it's high time you checked Jinjer again. They have released some live material: "on the top" and "Pit of consciousness" in Kiev. And Retrospection would be nice too.
A lot of this song reminded me of old school MTS - Lot's of shades of Lord of Woe/Neverbloom. Still not sure about that chorus, but I'm loving the innovation.
@@NikNocturnal I have a game I play with Sean each album (I'm from Perth Aus) where he predicts the song I'll like the most. he gets it right every time and it's always the song that has the best mix of their styles. Also, you're an absolute mad lad Nik. Been a big inspiration for me. I did a cover of Betraying the Martyr after watching yours!
As soon as I heard the breakdown and recovered from my fucking HEART ATTACK, I was hoping we'd get a reaction from you even though it's been over a month lol. PS some of Sean's mid-range screams in this song actually remind me a lot of Jamie Hails from Polaris.
It happened the same to me at a first listening. That key change in the chorus also threw me off. However, with more listening it has grown on me. The vocals are amazing. These are growls you can actually understand the lyrics on them. MTS vocalist has been very good at it from the beginning. Looking forward to the new album.
Make Them Suffer have always made music like this 🤘 where you're forced to think about it, they have to be one of the most unpredictable bands in my experience
This is a very interesting song but I really don't like the chorus. I just can't get behind this for some reason. The breakdown at the end tho... That was breathtaking.
Not a fan of the chorus at all, and I think if they had only used that breakdown bend riff at the beginning and the end breakdown it would’ve made it much more epic.
I love the extreme disconnect personally and this might be my favorite make them suffer song every time the switch happened it stood my hair up. however i do agree she has had better vocal performances but the note selection she hit felt right in tune with the flow of the song just my opinion. The massive change is what makes this song stick to me.
*That breakdown though...*
Hey Nik can you react to Forever by Code Orange?
Please cover this dude, this song is F-ing NASTY
That breakdown was straight nasty
Hey can you react to qoiet-kill TRACED
Nik I love you to death but I am heartbroken there was no Erase Me reaction video prior to the guitar cover :'(
Nik: How low can you go, bro?!
Sean: LOOOOOOOOOOOWEEERRRRRR
too bad he can't even do lows outside the studio
If scene is dead then consider us...zomBIEEEEEEEES
Jorge Valentine I’MMMMMM NOOOOOT DOOOOOOOOOOO-
*throat.exe has stopped working*
@@747lch HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Shook my life with that

ThatHipTurtle When he said that i was saying out loud ”oh hes going lower bro”😂
It was lowww
The key change reminded me of one of poppy's songs.
tekjess that’s exactly what i thought
hahaha ye
Yes. I didnt like it tbh
It through me off like I was out of quarantine earlier than expected still a good song
I can hear that
A lot of people saying they don't like/don't know how to feel about the chorus. I guarantee you, this is gonna be one of those songs that gets better with every listen as you get more and more used to the chorus.
I guess I'm in the minority with you there dude. I loved this chorus from the first listen, and that hasn't changed in the subsequent listens for me at all
I initially thought the chorus to Erase Me was...okay. But now I just think it kinda sucks.
I think make them suffer would be a boring ass band if it wasnt for Booka offering that duality, the light to the dark.
@@relyksdjoser6429 old souls?
@@Upsetkiller456 what about it?
The chorus change is what’s getting me hooked on this entire album. Very unique approach and it’s legit mesmerizing
Pre breakdown starts
Nik: 😐 Is it happening?
Got me the proper hyped
Dude the breakdown lead ups are why I watch these videos, his reactions are priceless 😂
Nik, with all the admiration in the world: "You're disgusting!" lol
When I hear that chorus I always imagine a siren softly singing to a man that's holding on that small piece of wood keeping him in the surface, and she's stretching out her hand to him, inviting him to reach the abyss together
The chorus seems so out of place, but it’s very interesting. The intro riff and the end breakdown are great. It’s a grower.
yeah its a little weird but interesting
Yeah it was like - “Oh we need a signing part” and they just chucked it in. But unfortunately it takes away from how brilliantly heavy a be moving the rest of the song is. Bands do it all the time and it is clumsy. In saying that I love the song but yeah just not like her vocals.
I feel like MTS have always done the not so basic and norm Chorus and I've always enjoyed that from them
Put it in context of a similar song like Uncharted
2 years later - the chorus has grown on me so much, especially following lyrically, so fucking good
Nik I love you fam. I met you and your shorty at the Make Them Suffer show last year. We met at the bar and I fan girled hard. Keep it up bro
Cheers!
NIK CAN You confirm that this is indeed a head banger
This is INDEED a head banger
Her name is "Booka" by the way. She has an amazing voice & really makes the songs sound excellent.
I'm pretty new to this band but I've gotta say that both of these new tunes slap👌
You should give "let me in" and "ether" by MTS a shot!
@@christianziege2989 Sweet man I'll give them a try
Their discography is super solid
Leon Shaw widower and neverbloom from their first album Neverbloom are really solid too, if you havent checked them out alright yet.
I legit thought the song ended right before that breakdown for a second
"We got the war drums" 🤣🤣
haha cracked me up!
Going to war with the breakdown no doubt
Chorus gives me ETHER vibes
^^
Your reaction is why I love this band, their sound is so unique. Beautiful and gut-punching heavy, just always makes me think of light and dark. like the sun is rising and setting throughout the song.
That chorus is beautiful the harmony and melody meld together so beautifully
Any band that straight up breakdowns their intros I salute you
This song perfectly represents my two very opposite personality types. Gave me fkn chills! 🤩
Check out Silent planet - trilogy! You won’t be disappointed!!
Best breakdown of 2020 so far

I'd put Dealer's tourniquet and ABR whole new album up there too, but SP definitely brought it
I still give that to Faces In The Dark by Loathe
alice margereta I’ll have to check this out!

Can confirm it grows on you every time you listen
The juxtaposition of the chorus/verse is less jarring
You've pretty much summed up, exactly how I felt when I heard this song the first time.
That breakdown was freaking insane, like, jesus christ, it as amazing

His reaction in 1:14 is amazing 😂😂
Reminds me of some of the first MTS songs I heard, I like it.... and then theres that breakdown at the end. UGH yes
Here for the breakdown reaction haha. Such a brutal one! Reminds me of the old Neverbloom days.. just proves that Sean is an animal as he always was!
Omg, I loved loved that song! Such a very interesting and different song ....loved the harmonic chorus ....And your reaction was priceless! Love!
I feel like the erase me chorus got me instantly but idk about this one.
I agree this chorus seems out of place
poppy’s chorus
Agreed, sounds like it should have been 2 different songs I think
Cover when? And when the chorus hit. I stopped my tracks in confusion. Then the breakdown hit and a stopped in glee. Solid 7/10.

This became of my fav bands in 2017 worlds apart was such a blast for new album (on that time) many bands are coping now with cleans
Make Them Suffer meets Devin Townsend :D
nik: how low can you go, bro?
sean: *yes*

You gotta check out Sleep Token I promise there’s nothing as ethereal as they are 🤘🔥 gotta recommend The Offering and Higher by them
Higher no doubt would be awesome to see him check out
The ending of "Higher" is fuckin' _NAAAAAAASTY_
Higher is one of the hardest breakdowns I've heard, no cap. And it kinda sounds like Masamune at the end as well
Literally one of my favorite bands in the last year, up there with MTS. So glad people have been giving them notice
man... ur reactions are the best... u make laugh for the entire year....
how low can u go bro.... rofl
