Why are you playing Atelier expecting romance. You're just hyper setting yourself up for disappointment. Better to have no expectations on that front.

Yes but no. If we've learned something from Sterk and Rorona getting paired up like this in basically every game (excluding the loli Rorona fiasco) it's that they're doing the most to hint at the relationship without confirming it to not anger the fanboys. But here's something interesting I translated from the ending:
Rorona: "It will definitely be okay. Because Sterk and I are together, right?" (12:27)
Sterk: "Yes, that's right. Then..."
Sterk & Rorona: Let's go!
EDIT: I've just seen a Rorona/Sterk event from the JPN version and their relationship dynamic got fucked over. Even though Rorona is already 35, somehow they're not like old close friends like in Atelier Totori, but rather Sterk is giving an old man mentor vibe saying that he's always seen Rorona as a child up until that moment. Really weird flex lmao
