    This is not a typical video we make but we felt it was important for anyone that was going to visit Brazil! SPOILER: We love Brazil so much and can't wait to get back! From the people(that aren't trying to rob you) to the food to the landscape, Brazil is a country that has it all!

      Hello! Check your email. I sent an email with an itinerary showing the main tourist attractions in Brazil, covering all regions. Brazil has many breathtaking landscapes that are unknown to most foreigners and you may be interested in visiting some of them on another occasion. I hope you return to Brazil to also show beautiful places little known by foreign tourists.
      As a Brazilian, I thank you for making this video showing the reality of Brazil and with several safety tips so that foreigners will see that Brazil is not the terror that the media portrays but that they should also pay a minimum of attention to avoid problems. It's videos like this that make foreigners lose their fear of the unknown and decide to come to Brazil.

    Well... Public transportations in Brazil at least in São Paulo were i live is the most safest transportation, more than Uber i think, it is really clean and do not look like USA public transportation at all.

    Hi, friends, I am from Rio de Janeiro and when you comeback here again, visit the neighborhood Barra da Tijuca, it's one of most beautiful neighborhood of Rio, and its beach, too. And it's less dangerous than many others neighborhoods. Also in Barra da Tijuca you find very good hotels and restaurants! 😉
    Welcome!

    Just came from Brazil 🇧🇷 a month ago and I was in all of these places you mentioned in the video. Brazil is safe for tourist in my opinion I mean I am from Jamaica 🇯🇲 so I am used to this kinda vibe but it did not feel unsafe to me as long as you use general common sense you’ll be fine. In my experience being overly cautious not only ruins the experience of the place but also makes you more susceptible to crime.

    That's a nasty and unfair title, I see it in Portuguese and it says: "Don't go to Brazil! It's not safe for tourists". Yeah, it sucks that you got scammed, but it's always recommended to see what amount there is on the screen, before approaching your card or typing in the code. You made it look like it was at one of the big beach kiosks. This is definitely not normal, you should have gone back and showed them your card statement and made a scene there, talked to the manager and called the police which are always nearby in that area. Such things are not welcome in Rio. You could have also gone to a police station specially made to resolve issues tourists encounter, I guess they could have gotten your money back and opened an investigation into whoever is doing this.
    However, your title doesn't seem fair in relation to the experience you had there, it seems you had an overall good time, so you're just embarking on an ongoing online hate campaign against Rio, where people spread huge misinformation and fearmongering about Rio, which your video pretends to be about, when you show a Rio image and put that misinforming title on the image. Rio is a huge city, and in all major big cities there will be some scammers. They tried to scam me in New York, near times square and I know there are many scammers around that area. Would it be fair to make a video saying "Don't go to the US! It's not safe" with an image of New York? Well, probably people wouldn't care that much, because there isn't an active hate and misinformation campaign by trolls going on against New York, but against Rio there is.
    Anyway, some general tips for tourists in Rio, which I thought you would have informed yourselves about before going are:
    Have some basic awareness, prefer UBER over taxis, don't give your credit card away, and try to use your card only at reputable establishments, but always check the amount that's on the display before typing your PIN number in (that's actually what the display is mainly for, believe it or not), also, always ask for the price of anything you buy before buying it, be careful with drink spiking if you go to chaotic nightlife areas, such as Lapa or Pedra do Sal.
    If you need assistance, contact police nearby, of which are plenty in the areas where most tourists go to, you can also contact the municipal guards with the tan uniforms, many of them will speak English.
    If you need to file a complaint, there's a special tourist police station, which is called DEAT, and is located at Avenida Armânio de Mello Franco in Leblon
    Do better than clickbaity titles, that just indicates low quality content, that's my suggestion

    The danger in Brazil is not so different from any other major country, I think that idea comes from the favelas and movies about, but the dangers of the favelas does't affect tourists unless the tourist is involve with something illegal. For tourists is mostly pickpockers and tourist traps. And way most in Salvador, Rio and São Paulo cities than in the rest of the country. I never been scammed or rob in the streets of Brazil, and yet I feel quite ashamed of saying that I was scammed in Tokyo hahaha.

    It's incredible to see a video suggesting that the northeast is less safe than Rio de Janeiro 🤣. There is no organized crime and militias in the Northeast. In big cities, the chance of being robbed is the same as walking on the outskirts of Los Angeles, taken over by gangs.

    • @samandnick
      @samandnick  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Maybe I am confused at what you're saying, but this video was taken in Rio.

    • @mvbelobelo6303
      @mvbelobelo6303 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@samandnick There is a short video inserted in your video claiming that the northeast of Brazil is unsafe. It's the opposite. In many cities in the northeast, crime simply doesn't happen, in large capitals small events sometimes happen. Very bad events happen sporadically in Rio. Like what happened this year when several doctors were machine-gunned while drinking beer on the beach because a group of militiamen mistook one of the doctors for a faction leader. This kind of thing doesn't happen anywhere in Brazil. Only in Rio and very rarely in São Paulo.

      @@samandnick In conclusion, Rio is a big city and has serious problems with organized crime. It's beautiful and ideal for spending a few days. But living there is like living in Al Capone's Chicago. Unfortunately, the reports that Brazil is a dangerous place are mainly due to the situation in Rio. But I assure you that in the majority of its 8 million square km, Brazil is an extremely safe country. Some cities have better safety rates than many European cities. Unfortunately, it is a poorly publicized country (our fault) and ends up reflecting only three things abroad: Rio, Carnival and the Amazon. A big hug, the comment is respectful and just trying to be constructive.
