FFmpeg Batch AV Converter is a great GUI interface for encoding. IMO it's better than Handbrake.
I'll have to check that out. I haven't heard of it until now.
Wow, I have been looking for this recipe for some time. Previously I was using Handbrake but it was only utilizing on a few cores and I could get about 3-10 FPS, now I'm getting over 200 FPS. Amazing.
I was in a similar boat until I found this myself. It's quite nice to be able to encode AV1 without actually having to wait forever for it to finish.
How do you use ffmpeg with hardware acceleration with Intel GPUs? I've used it with handbrake and it's super fast but I've been wanting to try it with ffmpeg to see how it compares. Thanks
hey, what's your mic, and do you do any post-processing? it's super clean.
I use a Heil PR40 with a pop filter and I do some processing in DA's Fairlight too. My studio isn't too noisy in the first place since I'm in the middle of nowhere. I normally do compressing, EQ, and a bit of voice ISO. I depends on the source audio though. hope that helps. - Vincent

Your welcome! The SVT encoder is so much faster. There is also a SVT encoder for VP9 and it's about the same speed for me. - Vincent

AFAIK, it is very well optimized for my xeon-type processor, but I don't understand how to compile SVT-H265 for Windows in order to make it work in the ffmpeg program.

From what I understand you can do that with ffmpeg and the decklink SDK. - Vincent

That's fast, sadly my Ryzen 5600H Laptop can only get 5 FPS in 1080p using preset 5, presets 4-5 have a very good quality but still slow with a laptop CPU.
