6 Express disappeared not long after the line went articulated. They had put the express service on to better balance the ridership, so when the artics arrived, with SEPTA logic of "we can fit more people on board, we don't need the expresses any more", away it went.
@@neoplanrider6512 Nope, they're still very dead and gone in the USA since 2006. The Pittsburgh order was the last one, delivered in 2006 before they ceased operations.
@@trainman1971 yeah from what I researched, MBTA and San Francisco MUNI canceled their bus orders at the last minute which sent Neoplan USA into bankruptcy. They couldn't recover from that financial loss.
Its crazy how ALL of these buses are already retired.
R.I.P 🕊️
I miss them buses man.
Me Too Man.
I moved up there about 2-3 years after this was filmed. Amazing to see how similar and how different everything looks compared to now.
RIP 1999-2000 Neoplan AN460s and 1997-1998 Nabis
7:04-7:20, we always knew about the 6 being a local, but how come no one told me Septa had a 6 Express? When did that 6 Express disappear?

No Flyers in sight
It started in 2001
I was not even born in that year
😂
Are these Neoplan USA buses still in service in Pennsylvania
No... with the retirement of the last of Pittsburgh's 3100-series AN460's this year, the Neoplan era in Pennsylvania will be over after 37 years.
@@trainman1971 dude Neoplan USA Corporation is now back in business

There's one left over in Harrisburg for some reason I still wish I knew.

Can you upload videos of the 03’s when they had the dd50?
All in good time. I'm just making it to 2001 now. :)
trainman1971 I’m hoping I’m able to hear the engine in the recordings.
@@Numbers832 Pretty much as they pass by is as good as it gets....
trainman1971 I meant on ride recordings of the 03’s.
@@Numbers832 I didn't get any before they got converted to Cummins.
