With a Boss you can only accelerate so fast before the rear tire breaks loose. The Boss was still fast as hell. I don't think people realize just how quick an R1 is. The fanboyism is real in here. Anyway, did anyone really expect the Hoss to win? Regardless of engine and power output, it's simply not built for speed. For one, it only has two gears. If anything, it's more about the novelty of having a v8 in a motorcycle. As a motorcycle, it's not going to be winning any races but it's definitely a bad ass bike and appeals to a certain crowd.

Second, you can see in the video the boss hoss guy is not even trying to catch up. Third, I rode a 434 last year and they are fast bikes on a straight line, hands down. But again, we're comparing 2 different kinds of monsters here. Besides, it's not about what you ride as long as you ride and experience that freedom and the wind in your face.

@@korzbro35 Absolutely. I bought one a month ago. They're fantastic bikes and a head-turner anywhere you pull in. But these bikes cannot be compared to sport bikes, not even to Harleys. They're great in a straight line but turns and breaking are a challenge. My late Breakout would out-maneuver a boss hoss. They weigh 1300 pounds and they just want to keep going, hehe. Mine has dual disks in the front and single disk in the rear wheel and it still has a hard time stopping. Definitely cannot drive it like a sport bike. If you do, you're liable to hurt yourself or others. I'm a big guy 6'3" and i have a hard time handling it. Most definitely not a bike for starters or the faint of heart!!
