I changed it for demonstration purposes but these the usual main symptoms: Repeated Blinking from the Oil Pressure Light Wrong Reading Shows on the Oil Pressure Gauge Oil Pressure Lights Turns On
Hello, I have a Peugeot 206 cc 1.6 NFU, my problem is that when the revs drop after accelerating, at 1200-1300 it says that “oil pressure insufficient” only displays the text. I have already changed the oil, filter and sensor. What could be the problem? Thanks
I think that's the oil level sensor that gives that reading. It should be located near the bottom of the oil filter housing. Did you check the oil level manually, using the dipstick ?
That sounds like it could be a faulty oil level sensor. This is from the Haynes Manual: Oil Level Sensor The sensor is fitted in the following locations: 1.4 and 1.6 litre petrol engines: Front side of the cylinder block adjacent to the oil filter housing. 2.0 litre petrol engines: Rear side of the cylinder block at the sump-to-block joint. 1.4 litre diesel engines: Rear side of the cylinder block, between cylinders 2 and 3. 2.0 litre diesel engines: Rear side of the cylinder block, adjacent to the transmission housing. The removal and refitting procedure is as described for the oil pressure switch. Access is most easily obtained from underneath the vehicle.
@@screwsnutsandbolts oil level sensor same with oil presure switch? Because when check bottom of the filter housing there are switch / sensor like in your video
Hi have a 2005 307 1.4 petrol. Engine light, STOP sign flashing, beeping noise and OIL PRESSURE INSUFFICENT message. Oil has been changed along with filter and pressure sensor. Any ideas what i could look into next. Thanks
I would get your garage to check the oil pressure with a gauge (i.e. remove the sensor and connect a gauge to confirm the exact oil pressure. There may be a blockage somewhere or the oil pickup could be clogged. If you do have low oil pressure, you risk damaging the engine.
What are the symptoms of a faulty oil pressure sensor (why have you changed it ) tia
I changed it for demonstration purposes but these the usual main symptoms:
Repeated Blinking from the Oil Pressure Light
Wrong Reading Shows on the Oil Pressure Gauge
Oil Pressure Lights Turns On
Mine sometimes says oil at minimum next day its at maximum. Does changing this part fix that problem?
Good information
Good work
Thanks !

Hi! The filter just drain a small amount of Oil or it drains ALL the oil the filter has?
It should only drain a small amount of oil
Video is very helpfull,i have question if oil presure indicator like this (_ _ _ _ _ _ F) flashes is it caused by this switch?

It's not not the same switch as in my video but the procedure to change it is the same. What year and engine is your Peugeot 206 ?

@@screwsnutsandbolts appreciate it thank you
You're welcome. Let me know if you find out what's causing it.
Excellent videos been great use. May I ask is this a peageout 206cc 1.6 or same as 206cc 1.6
Thank you. I have never worked on a 206cc but I think it should be very similar on the 1.6 petrol engine
Is the oil pressure sensor the same for oil temperature?
I have a problem with the reading of oil temperature, and i cannot find the sensor for it.
No the oil level/temperature sensor is in a different position on the front side of the engine block
@@screwsnutsandbolts can you give a number or a picture of it, so that I can order one, that would be great.
Lograste arreglarlo?
i recently bought a 206 1.6 Peugeot and it dosnt have the cables for the sensor what should i dp

You're welcome!
