1:14 i unironically listen to this (same track that plays on the Walkway level) while doing PI in EvE. this "noise" she's referring to is actually pure S O V L
When I played JFG on Xbox with modern controls I came until my balls turn to dust. It was utterly amazing beating Mizars ass in less than 30 seconds without dealing with his dumbass energy jump rope.
Great video! There was another game where you fought against giant bugs on the N64. The game was called Body Harvest check it out. The developers were called DMA Design they somehow went on to found Rockstar Games
I played it heavily for 4 years, on and off. Probably got about halfway through by the end. I got it when I was 9, LOVED it, but had no idea wtf to do or where to go most of the time. Every time I found a new level, the difficulty spiked so much that it took me months to feel comfortable enough with it to keep actually trying to progress. I typically just kept starting new games or characters and replaying levels I knew over and over. I recently looked up some playthroughs and retrospectives of it, and WOW...from what I've seen, I probably didn't even get halfway through after years of playing it. Splitscreen was also a blast with family and friends.
Played the crap out of this game as a kid. At no point did I understand what was going on. There was splitscreen multiplayer with way too big of maps that were very liminal looking back on it.
It was my favorite N64 game as a kid. Right up there with all the classics for me, but I probably played it even more than the rest. Never beat it. Figured I must have been close when I was a kid, just because of the sheer number of hours I spent playing it. I recently looked up a playthrough....looks like I probably never even got halfway through. This game is HARD, I didn't stand a chance when I was a kid. I played it somewhat regularly from age 9 - 12 or so and still couldn't figure a lot of stuff out. No internet guides, playthroughs, letsplays, etc back in the day. I was the only person I knew who had it. Splitscreen was great back in the day.
I always pronounced "Mizar" with a long "i." It's a very cool game because each character has an ability (Juna walks on lava, Vela swims, and Lupus can fly) and you get to explore each planet with each character and unlock different areas. There are also a lot of unique weapons, minigames , and secrets. Plus there's coop once you find Floyd. I do agree that the controls can be a bit of a struggle, and the characters have a bit too much momentum to them. BUT THAT'S NOT THE WORST PART!!! NOT AT ALL!! The worst part is that, to finish the game, you have to backtrack and find/rescue all the tribals. ALL OF THEM! EVERY SINGLE ONE! It's a big pain. This is the first game I ever bought a strategy guide for. On the upside, let's remember that the King of the Tribals is named Jeff, and Mizar is actually a giant robot suit piloted by his brother, whose name is Barry. Also June and Vela are twins and are both supposed to be 16.
me my brother and sister use to play this all time. except we didn't let me my sister play much :D. this game was perfect in every aspect. perfect nostalgia
Wow. I never expected this game to have such a following (even if its small). I loved this game as a kid. I still blast the intro song in my car on my way to work from time to time lol
Bro, if only there was another dog related constellation we could've named the dog character after. Or even just like a star with a cool name that's referred to as the "dog star". Too bad that doesn't exist! Better go with plan B and name it after a random autoimmune disease
I remember playing this everyday... And then stopping when they told me I have to find ALL the tribals. A giant ant is riding an asteroid on the way to destroy my home planet, but I gotta find all these space koalas first. Still have fond memories of the game, but finding those too-easily-killed teddy bears without a guide is some grade A BS for sure.
I loved this game so much. It looked all cute and had little Ewok looking guys and they'd get horrible murdered with blood everywhere. Its like someone played Mario 64 and said "what if we kept it looking like this, but it was fucked up?" The coop was great cus someone could play as a little invincible drone with infinite ammo that stayed by your side. since you shared a screen you were basically just a turret that could aim and shoot while the other person struggled with the terrible controls.
I could not remember the name of this game!! I was like 12 when this came out. Say what you will but it had a fuckin space dog with iron Man boots and a fuckin Lazer cannon on his back. Sold!
TH-cam actually recommending a good channel. Great video! Ahh.. the nostalgia of renting Jet Force Gemini from Family Video. Would love to see a video on Body Harvest (speaking of bug shooting games on the N64).
Oh I know Rare alright, they're called Rare cause their games are never WELL DONE! XD 5:02 Me when the hula dancer places a wreath of flowers around my neck and i'm not expecting it
We had an N64 and GameCube growing up but I didn't play this til I got Rare Replay on Xbox. It's impressive what they were able to do but the controls were 100% the hardest thing to try and get used to. I'm pretty sure those two bugs killed me on my first try LMAO
Pov you're 5 years old and at your cousins house and this game is in their game library and you get apple slices and peanut butter at snack time. >:) (insert doom face here)
I saw the number 64 on the thumbnail and I did not know that this was a helldiver 2 video until the 45 second mark so congratulations you got me on the number 64🥴
I like that there's like 2 jokes you can make and you don't stretch them, just say funny thing play game end video haha borderline shitpost content is my jam!
I know you’re a RuneScape girlie but did you ever play any fun orb games? The wizards one and armies of Gelinor were my favorite games ever. Would love to see how they still hold up
In concept HD2 was the perfect game for me. Everything about it's satirical and cynical view of society was what I miss about gaming. But then the gameplay felt like just another console game meant to be played with controllers and I lost any interest in the first 5 minutes. You can just tell when devs had to hold back design choices because they wouldn't work well with the limitations controllers put onto gameplay in many genres and it honestly just takes any fun out of the game. When will people realize that analog sticks are the worst fucking input for gaming ever used.

"Does your treadmill feel like it's gonna jerk you off?" WTF!? 😂 I laughed so fucking hard! Never change Ang!
helldivers went downhill with the 45th installment imo. Can't believe they milked it into 64 games
They should have left the series as an icosology 😔
63 was top 20 imo
What? Helldivers 64 is their best game yet.
Engaging personality, delivery and humor. Commenting now before channel blows up.
when people say someone has "gemini energy" this is actually what they mean
unfathomably based and JFG coded
This channel rocks. My binge continues
Can’t remember the last time I found a channel where I wanna just go back and binge watch everything. Ur vids r so good and funny.

I think Body Harvest is the other Helldivers prequel lol
Great video! There was another game where you fought against giant bugs on the N64. The game was called Body Harvest check it out. The developers were called DMA Design they somehow went on to found Rockstar Games
Oh my god a Jet Force Gemini video?? I'm glad I found this channel 😭😭
Ahhh Jet Force Gemini, a.k.a. Where TF do I go again? For the N64. Great video again!

I rented this right before Blockbuster stopped carrying N64 games and for the life of me could not remember the name. Mental block resolved.
