    Hi, "re" in "release" is "ruh" or "ri", the same question for "regression", please explain to me.

    • @tarlespeech
      @tarlespeech  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Re can be “re” if the word is highlighted or stressed in the sentence.
      Most of the time the re is “reh” “rih “ or “ruh” since it is unstressed and the vowel is relaxed and reduced. This relaxed reduced sound is called a schwa or short u but many people say short i or short e.

      Tarle Speech & Language Services - English Pronunciation I study English by watching TED lectures or TH-cam channels such as Rachel English, CoachShane. I got to know your channel yesterday and was so satisfied with your lectures. And you are the first English teacher to solve my question. I am really happy to meet the great teacher. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching your lectures more!! (Ahh, my comment is so long.) thank you and have a good day :)
