Let's talk about the elephant in the room. That map Kharkov is at the moment no longer in circulation in servers outside of Russia and Belarus. The same also applies to Minsk, most definitely due to the war in Ukraine.

@@22250md Kharkov and Minsk are no longer available in the game due to the invasion of Ukraine and Belarus' assistance in said invasion. Both locations are considered active war zones, therefore WG removed those maps from the game

The Skoda did more on 35 hp that a lot of full health tanks ever manage to do. Well done to that player!
The premium rounds on the Caliban are what made it playable for me, they're only 4800 credits, so even without a premium account or a credit booster, you can still break even if you pen about half the ones you fire. It makes bottom tier match ups far less frustrating.
That's why I looove playing with rhm derp gun, I play on heavy lines behind my team mates wait for enemy to make a first shot then come out and rape them lol, 10k battles 52% win rate.

@@jalecojoshua1405 First mark is for having stats that are better than 65% of players in the last 14 days. Second mark is received when those stats are better than 85% of players. The third and final mark us received when your stats are better than 95% of players with that tank.

@@jalecojoshua1405 foucs on increasing damage output as much as possible, if u have a lot of credits fire premium ammo, u are less likely to bounce. winning or losing a game is not relavant when going for gun marks
Getting 3 marks on it is easy as the tank is a poor performer. Low expectation values means you only have to average alittle more than 2k a game in it to get 3 marks

Holy damn QB, u look like u literally transformed from a super unicum into a tomato that grew the biggest nose in the world.
My gameplay also changed completely when I started using ap ammo, it's impressive how this tank can be so frustrating yet so strong against op tanks, whenever I have the opportunity I fire 2 shots at Bz176 and end their game and they usually can't pierce me.
Literally a very useful tip and trick of choosing ammo for your target I love it. now I want to spam all gold to the enemy now XD
I love my Caliban so much, and learned pretty early on how unreliable the HE rounds are, and switching to primarily firing AP made all the difference, and learning when to fire that second round and when not to made surviving in the Caliban a lot more likely. I even went out of my way to try and 3 mark it... sadly, 2 marks and 93% was the best I could do with it, but still, it is one of the most tanks in the game to play, next to my FV4005 and 60TP, and maybe my 183, depending on the map. I use Vents in the durability slot, Turbo in the second slot set to mobility, and Vertical Gun Stabilizer, as it seems to be the best configuration for my play style. Top speed on 38km/h and a boost to its already great horse power does allow you get around the battlefield quicker then you think, having that massive retical 20% smaller all the time also helps greatly when aiming in on a target after just moving, and obviously vents increasing the crew +6% because of the bonus of being in the slot, same with the turbo.
One of the best things I love about the Caliban is can make Tier 10 heavies turn their pants brown with the 292mm of AP pen, and 600 alpha which can be followed by another round, specially when dealing with problematic heavies such as the Obj. 279e, which the AP around either at range, arcing down onto the hull and penning, or at point blank range, looking down and putting them right into the hull, just wrecks. Though being one of the most fun tanks to play, it is a difficult one to get decent with, since its really thin side armour of 35mm is easily overmatched, and what I still see happening with people firing both rounds just because they can, and suddenly getting feasted upon because of that 35 second reload before one shell is loaded, and another 22 seconds for that 2nd round, and those people deciding they don't like the tank. It is for sure a different tank, and the learning curve is probably one of the highest of tanks, which requires at times, some really good fire discipline and a lot of situational awareness which every now and then I slip up and pay for it.

Caliban is my favorite tier 8 tank to play. Shot discipline is he key. I like you’re “bluffing” when you are empty, never worked for me lol, they pounce on me like wolves.
I like the caliban, besides the low dpm, it rlly packs out huge dmg. My highest roll is a shot from 1255 dmg, on a tier 8 Tsjechië tech tree heavy, at his upper plate.

I only carry 6 HE shells with Caliban. I use most of the time AP anyway

@@bryans6539 well eh "fun" depends on The player, some player hate to play such tanks as Borat or T 56 as they are so overpowered and easy to get good results with If you know at least something about the game and its mechanics

The Caliban can be the most fun tank or your absolute most hated tank ever! If you're hitting and penning your shots, it feels great. But if you fully aim two perfect rounds and miss completely or track your opponents instead, it makes you want to scream.

I haven't played this map for so long. Is it removed?
I put 3 marks on mine, but this tank is 100% rng on tracks, like the EBRs are on wheels. The only skill is positioning; the gun and mm is not in your control. You see E100, congrats! You are now forced to have 1600 DPM with those AP shells (600dmg isn't THAT special considering all else). I've seen tier 6's 5 times out of 270 battles, so

I just play with 20 gold and only 5 he shots. I only load the he if the last tanks are like scorpion and other really weakly armored tanks. Sure the he can pen the side of the e75 turret but to get in to that situation is rare and most of the time the he will not pen and will do less than 600 damage. Only 183mm hesh tanks can play full he any other tank its just not worth waiting for that 1 game where the enemy is in the right tanks in the right places.

I traded in my caliban. No matter what I could do, none of my shots would hit. It is by far my worse played tank and the tank with the worst win8 for me because of it

This Taliban did 820dmg HE shell into my front of Conquerer yesterday,rng is a bitch.

Yep, it would have been much better. Although the HE nerf did allow HE to pen trough tracks, making penetrative sideshots much more frequent

It is statistically bad tank tbh and fully rng dependent most of the time, but I guess that other statement isnt really waterproof

idk how wot calculates aim time but this thing is like 6-7 seconds even after fully modded lol
Hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the aim time is the time it takes for the area of the reticule to decrease by approximately 36%. The radius shrinks with an exponential decay so the exact figure is slightly different, something like (1/e)^(aim time).
Aimtime is the time that it takes the reticle to shrink 60%
the aiming is not linear but exponentially. The aiming circle is reduce to (1/e) each aiming period (aim time in stats): current radius = previous radius * e^(-time passed/aim time)) => time need for fully aim = (aim time)*ln(current circle radius/min circle radius)
